The Vulca Dome Pendant Light blends raw volcanic texture with warm wood, creating a beautifully balanced sculptural form. The wide, gently curved dome — crafted from porous volcanic stone — adds depth and tactility, while the walnut upper cup brings an organic warmth that complements the minimalist silhouette. A pendant that is as much a ceiling sculpture as it is a light source.
About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish
The wide dome shade of this pendant is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The porous, textured exterior is authentic — this is exactly as it was designed to be.
Natural travertine — formed by geological processes
Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.

Compatible with LED or Edison-style G9 bulbs. A warm-toned G9 LED (2700–3000K) is recommended — the warmth softens the volcanic stone and enhances the walnut's natural grain.

Is the travertine naturally black?
No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural pore structure, weight, and density are fully preserved beneath.
