Who is Vakkerlight?

Vakkerlight is a premium lighting brand delivering high-quality, beautifully designed fixtures for residential and commercial spaces. Our direct-to-consumer model — combined with our own manufacturing facility in Jiangmen, China — lets us bypass traditional retail markups and deliver exceptional design at a fair price.

We specialize in Alabaster, Travertine, solid brass, handblown glass, and natural wood — each piece crafted to bring character and warmth to any space.

Where is Vakkerlight based?

Our US headquarters is at 1520 Caton Center Dr. Suite L-M, Baltimore, MD 21227, operated by our parent entity JANEDECOR INC (Texas Filing No. 804498329). For faster shipping to Western US customers, we partner with Lionext Inc, our 3PL fulfillment provider located at 11650 Burke St, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670.

Our manufacturing facility is located in Jiangmen, Guangdong, China, spanning approximately 29,000 sq ft of dedicated production space.

Is Vakkerlight a legitimate company?

Absolutely. Vakkerlight operates under JANEDECOR INC, a US business incorporated in Texas (Filing No. 804498329, EIN: 36-5016622), backed by $2,000,000 in Commercial General Liability Insurance through State Farm. VAKKERLIGHT is a USPTO registered trademark (Reg. No. 7,662,504). Our products carry CE, SAA, ETL, UL, CSA, and RoHS certifications where applicable to the destination market.

We have served thousands of residential and trade customers globally, including supplying lighting to luxury hospitality projects worldwide. We welcome inquiries from interior designers, architects, and hospitality developers.

Do you have a physical showroom?

Yes — we welcome trade clients and serious customers by appointment at our Baltimore, MD showroom. Please email info@vakkerlight.com at least 48 hours in advance to arrange a visit.

For customers unable to visit in person, we also offer complimentary 3D visualization services to help you preview fixtures in your actual space before purchase.

How do I place an order?

Browse our collections, select your specifications (size, finish, voltage), and click Add to Cart. Proceed to checkout — you'll receive an order confirmation email immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay, and Venmo. All transactions are PCI-certified and SSL encrypted.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Contact us at info@vakkerlight.com as soon as possible. Orders can typically be modified or cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of purchase, before they enter production or fulfillment. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details on cancellation fees after this window.

Is it safe to purchase on your website?

Yes. Our store is built on Shopify — one of the world's most trusted e-commerce platforms. All checkout pages are SSL encrypted and we never store your full payment details.

Will I be charged customs or import duties?

US customers — Standard Shipping: Vakkerlight covers all applicable US customs duties and import taxes. The amount shown at checkout is final.

US customers — Expedited Air Shipping: Import duties or customs charges may be assessed by US Customs and are the customer's responsibility.

International customers: Local VAT, customs duties, and import taxes may apply depending on your country and are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Where do you ship to?

We ship internationally, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and select Asian and European destinations. Standard and expedited shipping options are available at checkout. US customers enjoy faster delivery for items in stock at our East Coast (Baltimore, MD) and West Coast (Santa Fe Springs, CA) fulfillment locations.

How long does shipping take?
  • US In-Stock Items: Dispatched within 1–3 business days; delivered in 4–10 business days via FedEx, UPS, or USPS.
  • Factory-Direct / Made-to-Order: Standard sea shipping typically takes 4–6 weeks total. Expedited air shipping takes 1–3 weeks. Production lead times are shown on each product page.

All dimensions are manually measured — a tolerance of 1–2cm is normal. Colors may vary slightly due to screen differences.
How do I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. You can also use our Shipping & Tracking page powered by 17track.net.

For made-to-order items shipped from China via sea freight, tracking is typically issued 3–4 weeks after order placement, once the shipment clears port and enters the local delivery network.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Photograph the damaged packaging and product as soon as you notice the issue, and email info@vakkerlight.com within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We cover all costs — full replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — we offer free standard shipping on all orders to the United States (48 contiguous states), Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Hong Kong / Macao / Taiwan. Expedited shipping and shipping to all other destinations are calculated at checkout based on your order details. No hidden surcharges — the amount shown at checkout is final.

Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?

We offer a 60-day return window from the date of delivery.

  • Damaged or defective items: We cover all return shipping costs — full replacement or refund.
  • Change of mind: Accepted within 60 days. Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Important: For items shipped from our China facility, international return shipping typically costs $80–$200+ depending on item size and weight. We recommend reviewing our full Return & Refund Policy and contacting us before purchasing if you have any sizing or compatibility concerns.

How long does a refund take?

Once your return is received and inspected (3–5 business days), we process your refund within 7–14 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation once initiated. Please allow an additional 3–10 business days for funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

Can I exchange an item for a different style?

Yes — return your original item and place a new order for the desired piece. Contact our support team at info@vakkerlight.com to initiate the return process and request an RMA number.

My item arrived missing a part — what do I do?

Contact us immediately with your order number and photos. We will ship the missing component at no cost. For complex fixtures, check all packaging layers — some hardware is packaged separately within the box.

What materials are your fixtures made from?
  • Natural stone: Alabaster, Travertine, Marble — unique natural veining on every piece

  • Natural materials: Solid walnut and oak, bamboo, rattan, mulberry silk
  • Other: High-grade ceramic, plaster, resin, alabaster composites
Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. We offer a 1-year limited warranty on all fixtures, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.

Damaged or defective items can also be returned for full replacement or refund within 60 days of delivery (see our Return & Refund Policy). Our parent entity also maintains $2,000,000 in Commercial General Liability Insurance, providing additional confidence in our products and operations.

Are your products compatible with LED bulbs?

Yes — the vast majority of our fixtures are fully LED compatible. We recommend LED bulbs for energy efficiency and longevity. Compatible bulb types and wattage are listed on each product page.

Are your fixtures dimmable?

Many fixtures support dimming with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable LED bulbs. Dimmability is noted on each product page. Contact us before purchasing if you're unsure about your wiring setup.

Do the products come with bulbs included?

Most fixtures do not include bulbs unless stated on the product page. Recommended bulb types and specifications are always listed in the product details.

Do your products work with US 110V electrical systems?

Yes. All products on vakkerlight.com are configured for US standard voltage (110V–120V, 60Hz) unless otherwise stated. Contact us for international voltage compatibility.

Installation & Setup
Are the products easy to install?

Our fixtures are designed for standard mounting. Plug-in styles can generally be installed without an electrician. For all hardwired fixtures — chandeliers, ceiling lights, hardwired wall lights — we strongly recommend a licensed electrician for safety and code compliance.

Do the products come with installation instructions?

Yes — instructions are included with each fixture. Our Lighting Size & Installation Guide provides additional guidance on sizing, mounting heights, and wiring.

How do I know what size fixture is right for my space?
  • Dining table: Chandelier diameter roughly 1/2 to 2/3 the table width.
  • Entryway: Add room length + width (feet) — the result in inches is a good chandelier diameter.
  • Height: Pendant bottoms 7 ft from floor in living areas; 30–36 inches above a dining table surface.

Can the cord or chain length be adjusted?

Most pendant lights and chandeliers come with adjustable cord or chain lengths that can be shortened during installation. Maximum included length is listed in each product's specifications. Contact us for custom lengths.

Can I request a custom design or size?

Yes — because we own our manufacturing facility, we can accommodate custom requests: extended cord lengths, custom canopy sizes, specific finishes, or bespoke designs for hospitality and commercial projects. Typical lead time for custom designs is 20–40 days. Contact our team to discuss requirements.

Do you offer a Trade Program for designers and architects?

Yes. Our Trade Program is open to interior designers, architects, hospitality developers, and bulk purchasers. Benefits include trade pricing and dedicated account support. Visit our Trade Account page to apply.

Do you offer 3D visualization services?

Yes — we offer complimentary 3D visualization to help you preview how our lighting will look in your actual space before purchasing. To request a 3D rendering, email us your space dimensions, ceiling height, and the fixture(s) you're considering. Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days. Learn more on our 3D Service page.

Are your products certified?

Are your products energy efficient?

Virtually all our fixtures are LED compatible, using up to 80% less energy than incandescent bulbs. We recommend warm-white LED bulbs (2700K–3000K) for the best aesthetic result.

Are your outdoor lights weatherproof?

Our outdoor fixtures are weather-resistant and carry IP ratings listed on each product page. IP44 suits covered outdoor areas; IP65 is rated for direct rain exposure.

Is Vakkerlight covered by liability insurance?

Yes. Our parent entity JANEDECOR INC maintains active Commercial General Liability Insurance with $2,000,000 in coverage, including Products-Completed Operations, through State Farm. Contact us to request a Certificate of Liability Insurance.
