A slim vertical travertine stick pendant light — a wood rod above, a yellow travertine cylinder below — with a focused downlight from the bottom. Compact 1.6″ × 10.6″ profile. Each travertine cylinder is hand-cut from solid stone, so no two are identical. About yellow travertine — natural variation
Yellow travertine forms over millennia through geothermal mineral deposition. Each cylinder is cut from a unique section of stone, so pitting, banding, color depth, and surface texture vary piece to piece. These variations are not defects — they're the stone's geological signature and the reason no two fixtures are identical. Expect tonal range from pale honey to warm caramel.

Is the travertine real stone or composite?
Real yellow travertine — hand-cut from solid stone, not composite or veneer. Each cylinder weighs noticeably more than it looks (stone has density that imitations don't), and the natural pitting on the surface is genuine geological pitting, not surface-printed texture.
How bright is one stick pendant?
One G9 LED at 4–6W produces about 400–600 lumens — enough for accent lighting on a counter or a single point of focus, but not enough for primary room lighting. For a kitchen island, plan 2–3 pendants in a row. For a dining table, 1 above each seat or 2–3 along the length. For ambient lighting, layer with overhead recessed.
Single pendant or cluster — which works best?
Above a small bar table or single seat — one pendant is enough. Above a 6-ft kitchen island — 2 in a row at 24" spacing. Above an 8-ft island — 3 at 24" spacing. In a 2-story stairwell — cluster 5–7 at varying drop heights (24"–60" apart vertically) for a sculptural composition. Hang each at the same diameter so the cluster reads as one piece.
How much variation should I expect between pieces?
Significant — that's the point of natural stone. Each travertine cylinder will have its own pattern of pits, color banding (from honey to warm caramel), and surface texture. If you're ordering multiple, request "matched set" at checkout and we'll pick pieces with similar tonality, though no two will be identical. Embrace the variation as part of the aesthetic.
How do I clean travertine?
Brush dust off with a soft natural-bristle brush (a clean shaving brush or paint brush works well). Avoid wet cloths — travertine is porous and can absorb moisture and staining. For deeper cleaning, use a stone-safe pH-neutral cleaner sparingly. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, or acidic cleaners — they will etch the stone surface.
