About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish
The body of this pendant is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The stratified, textured surface is an authentic product of the stone's natural formation — this is exactly as it was designed to be.
Natural travertine — formed by geological processes
Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. The pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique — the stratified texture visible on the Kryos is a direct expression of this geological history.

Is the travertine naturally black?
No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural stratified texture and pore structure are fully preserved beneath and are visible through the finish.
Will each pendant look exactly the same?
No — and that is intentional. Travertine is a natural stone formed over thousands of years. Each piece has a unique pore distribution and stratification pattern, making every Kryos pendant a one-of-a-kind object.
Can the cable length be extended?
Yes. The standard cable is 59″ (150 cm) and adjustable. Extensions are available on request — contact our support team before ordering.
