手で形作られた伝統の匠の技

ラタンの張り具合を感じ取るうえで、機械では職人の感覚を再現することはできません。生の竹を割いて削るところから、ラタンの複雑な編み込みまで。中型の竹製ランプ一つが完成するのに、マスター職人でも数日を要します。

接合部に接着剤は一切使用していません。精密な相欠き継ぎ手法と手結びのラタン結びのみ。これは単なる照明器具ではなく、人間と自然が時間を超えて交わす対話であり、二度と繰り返すことのない生命の痕跡を宿しています。

骨組みには5年以上かけて高地で育った成熟竹を厳選。その並外れた強度が特徴です。織られた表面は天然インドネシアラタンを使用。光と時間とともに温かみのある風合いへと変化していきます。

深い物理炭化

すべての製品は厳格な高温高圧蒸し焼きと物理的炭化乾燥工程を経ます。カビと虫に強く、化学薬品処理は一切なし。長年の使用に耐えるよう設計されています。

廉価な市場代替品

廉価なPE樹脂製フェイクラタン

明らかにプラスチック的で生命感がありません。光の露出で臭いが出ることが多く、経年とともにもろくなり、プレミアムホームデコールとしての品質を失います。

未処理の低級竹

高温炭化処理

生の竹とラタンは特殊な高圧釜で蒸し焼きにされ、炭化されます。糖分と虫の幼虫を除去しながら、天然の色合いを保ちます。

織りの経糸と緯糸

現代の流れ作業を避け、職人たちは時を重ねた手法でラタンの束を竹の骨組みに手作業で織り込みます。ひとつひとつの結び目には、精密さと経験が求められます。
