A tall sculptural candleholder shaped from a single piece of natural wood — a branch-like trunk with five carved step niches that each cradle a pillar candle. Stands 73″ (185 cm) on a square steel base. Each piece is one of a kind: the curve, the bark grain, and the way the wood has aged are unique to that single log. ⚠ Open-flame product — read before lighting
This tower uses real candles in open niches set into natural wood. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep at least 3 feet (1 m) away from curtains, bedding, paper, books, dried flowers, and anything that can catch fire. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Burn each candle on a level surface, away from drafts. Extinguish all candles before leaving the room or going to sleep. If a candle drips, extinguish it immediately and let the wax fully harden before relighting.
Each tower is one of a kind
Carved from natural wood with its own grain, knots, color shifts, and small cracks (checking) that come with seasoned wood — variation from photos is expected, not a defect. Niche size and angle vary slightly piece to piece. Email us for photos of in-stock pieces before ordering.
- Place the tower against a flat, stable wall on a level floor — the steel base is heavy and anchors the piece, but the height makes it tippable if struck. Keep clear of high-traffic paths, doorways, and play areas.
- Use real pillar candles only — never tapers, tea lights without holders, or oil/liquid candles. Pillar candles hold their shape and contain their own wax pool; tapers tip, and liquid fuel will drip onto and into the wood.
- Before lighting the first time, place a small metal disc or glass coaster into each niche to catch wax — this protects the wood and makes cleanup easier. Most home stores sell candle plates for this.
- Trim wicks to ¼″ (6 mm) before each lighting. A long wick burns hot, soots the wood above, and can ignite nearby material.
- Never burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Let candles cool fully (at least 2 hours) before relighting. The wood directly above each candle warms with use — a long burn cycle compounds the heat.
- Extinguish with a snuffer or by gently pressing the wick into the wax (never blow — this scatters embers). Never use water; hot wax + water can spit.
- If the wood becomes scorched, soot-marked, or develops a burn ring around a niche, stop using that niche and contact us. Continued use risks structural ignition.
- Clean dripped wax once fully hardened: scrape gently with a wooden or plastic tool (never metal), then wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid water and solvents on the wood.
What candles does it use?
Standard pillar candles, up to about 3″ (7.5 cm) diameter and 4–6″ tall. Use real wax pillars only — never tapers (they tip), never tea lights without their cups, never oil or liquid candles (they drip into the wood). Candles are not included. The niches are hand-carved, so measure each niche after unboxing before buying candles to fit.
Is it safe to burn candles on natural wood?
It can be, with care. The niches are deep enough to hold most of the heat away from the surrounding wood, but candles burn hot, drip wax, and shed soot. We strongly recommend placing a metal or glass candle plate into each niche to catch wax and shield the wood, trimming wicks before each use, and never burning more than 4 hours at a time. Can I use LED flameless candles instead?
Yes — and it's the safest option. LED pillar candles in the same size will sit in the niches and give a flickering glow without any open flame, heat, or wax. We recommend this option for households with children, pets, or for unattended display.
How heavy is it? Will it tip?
The steel base is sized to anchor the piece on a level floor, and the tower stands solid in normal use. But at 73″ tall, a hard knock — from a running child, a pet, a vacuum, or a moved piece of furniture — can tip it. Place against a wall, away from traffic paths, and consider a discreet wall strap if the room has small children or large pets.
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on the wood structure and steel base. Natural-wood grain variation, checking (small surface cracks), and color shifts over time are not defects. Burn marks, scorch rings, soot stains, or fire damage from candle use are not covered — these are the buyer's responsibility, which is why we ask buyers to read the safety guide before first use. Email support with photos within 7 days of delivery for any transit damage.
