- Hardwired ceiling mount — junction box required. Licensed electrician required (fan installations need motor-rated mounting hardware and structural support).
- Confirm ceiling type before ordering: only cement concrete or solid wood beams (≥ 6 cm wide, supports 20+ kg). Drywall, gypsum, wood panels, sloped, and prefabricated ceilings are NOT supported.
- When installing blades: add the included gaskets at each blade-to-motor attachment point. Skipping gaskets damages the motor copper wiring — this is the #1 cause of warranty claims.
- For wall control, order the matching Wireless Wall Switch separately. Standard switches do not work with this fan's receiver.
Which model and span should I choose?
Choose blade span by room size: 42″ for small rooms (up to 100 sq ft, bedrooms/offices), 48″ for medium (100–200 sq ft, living rooms), 52″ for large (200+ sq ft, great rooms/dining). Choose Model A (5 lights) if you need primary room illumination from the fan, or Model B (3 lights) if it's mainly decorative and you have other ambient lighting. Both run at the same fan performance.
Why do I need a special wireless wall switch?
DC-motor ceiling fans use a wireless receiver inside the motor housing to control speed and lights independently. Standard wall switches just cut power, which doesn't let you switch fan speed or dim/separate the lights. The handheld remote is included with the fan. If you also want wall control (kids, guests, or routine switching), order the matching Wireless Wall Switch — it talks to the same receiver. Standard light switches will damage the receiver if you try to use them.
Why are there so many ceiling restrictions?
Ceiling fans put significant load and vibration on the mounting point — a 52″ fan with 5 blades can weigh 30+ lbs and exerts torque at every speed. Standard drywall on joists isn't designed for this and will cause wobble, noise, and over time can pull the mount loose. Cement concrete and solid wood beams provide the rigid mass needed for vibration-free operation. If your ceiling type isn't compatible, talk to a contractor about installing a structural support box (CSA-rated for fans) before ordering.
What bulbs should I use? How bright total?
E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU), one per globe. For the vintage Edison-style look shown, use clear-bulb 4–6W LED filament bulbs in 2700K warm white. For brighter rooms, use 8W frosted LED bulbs. Total output: Model A (5 bulbs at 6W) = ~3,000 lumens (good for primary lighting). Model B (3 bulbs at 6W) = ~1,800 lumens (decorative + ambient). Max 40W per bulb regardless of type.
How quiet is the DC motor?
DC motors are about 30–40% quieter than AC fans at the same airflow. On low speed, it's near-silent; on high, you'll hear airflow rather than motor noise. The 3-speed setup gives you sleep-quiet on low (~25 dB) and effective cooling on high. DC motors also draw less power than equivalent AC fans, so running cost is lower.
