Forma is a linear pendant built from two oval solid walnut discs in offset alignment, each cradling a frosted-glass downlight dome. The walnut is finished to bring out the natural amber-brown grain; the warm LED glow reflects subtly across the disc undersides, giving the pendant a soft second halo. Suspended on twin steel cables.
At 60 cm long (23.6″), Forma is sized for 4-6 person dining tables, breakfast nooks, and small kitchen islands. Hardwired installation by a licensed electrician — designed as a permanent fixture for everyday dining.

Each walnut disc is one-of-a-kind. Walnut is a natural hardwood with grain pattern unique to every tree. Color depth, grain direction, and tonal warmth vary between pieces. Solid wood may also develop slight movement (a fine hairline crack along the grain, or a few millimeters of warp over years) — this is the wood breathing with seasonal humidity, not a defect. Customers who care for fine furniture will recognize this as character.

Ceiling Junction Box Installation
Forma connects to a standard recessed ceiling junction box (single-gang or 4″ round). Total fixture weight is just 1.35 kg (3 lb) — well within any modern junction box's load rating. Suspension cables are adjustable, so your electrician can fine-tune the hanging height during installation. We recommend a final hanging height of 30-36″ above the dining table surface for 4-6 person tables, or 30-32″ above kitchen island countertops.

3000 K Warm White
A single warm-white setting designed for everyday dining — bright enough to read a menu or chop vegetables, soft enough to linger over wine. The frosted dome and walnut undersides combine to create a warm, glare-free pool of light. Integrated LEDs are rated for ~50,000 hours of service.
Not dimmable. Forma uses a non-dimming circuit by design — the 3000K output is calibrated for everyday dining at full brightness, not mood lighting. If you need adjustable levels for the room, install Forma alongside a separately-dimmed accent light or pair with a dimmer-controlled wall sconce. The fixture will not pair with wall dimmers or smart-dimmer apps.

Why isn't Forma dimmable?
Forma uses a fixed-output 3000K LED designed for everyday dining at consistent warm brightness. Many of our customers prefer this — no dimmer switch to fumble with, no compatibility issues with smart-home setups, just one reliable warm light when you flip the switch. If you need adjustable levels for the room, we recommend pairing Forma with a separately-dimmed accent light or wall sconce on a different circuit.
How big a dining table does this fit?
Forma is 60 cm (23.6″) long — sized for 4-6 person dining tables, breakfast nooks, or small kitchen islands. As a rule of thumb, the pendant should be roughly 1/2 to 2/3 the length of the table for proportional balance. For tables longer than 8 ft, look at our wider linear pendants. For round tables, hang Forma centered above tables 36-48″ in diameter.
Can the wood crack or warp over time?
Solid walnut is a natural material — it breathes with humidity changes throughout the year. Over the course of years, you may see hairline grain lines develop or a few millimeters of natural movement. This is wood being wood, not a defect. To minimize movement: avoid hanging Forma directly above a steam-prone cooktop, install away from direct HVAC vents, and maintain steady indoor humidity (40-60% is ideal). Customers who care for fine wood furniture treat this as character.
Can I install this myself, or do I need an electrician?
We recommend installation by a licensed electrician. The wiring connection is straightforward (line, neutral, ground to a ceiling junction box), but Forma's twin suspension cables need to be balanced and adjusted to your final hanging height during installation. A professional electrician will ensure both the electrical connection and the suspension are level — and will preserve your warranty.
How high should I hang Forma above my table?
Standard recommendation: 30-36″ from the bottom of the pendant to the table surface for dining tables, or 30-32″ above kitchen island countertops. The downward-facing domes make Forma effective at lower heights — closer to 30″ creates a more intimate "dining anchor" effect, while 36″ feels more open and architectural. The cables are adjustable during installation, so you can fine-tune.
Why does my walnut disc look different from the photo?
Walnut is a natural hardwood — every tree has its own grain pattern, color depth, and tonal warmth. The photo shows a representative example, not the exact discs you'll receive. The two discs in your fixture are matched as a family pair (similar tone), but never identical twins. This is one of the reasons solid walnut has remained a luxury material for generations.
How do I clean it?
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth — both the walnut discs and the frosted glass domes. For the wood, avoid water and any cleaner with alcohol, ammonia, or bleach (these will strip the finish). For the glass domes, a slightly damp cloth is fine. Once a year, a thin coat of furniture wax or wood-conditioning oil applied with a cloth keeps the walnut grain rich and protected — apply only to the wood, never to the glass or metal hardware.
