Inspired by the Japanese washi lantern tradition of 1951 — the Xuanzhi table lamp uses handmade mulberry paper that softens light into a gentle, even glow. Like the fishermen's bamboo lanterns that first inspired the design, it transforms any space with a warm, tranquil presence.
"The fishermen used lanterns to attract fish — ribs made of bamboo covered with fine paper. For this lamp, mulberry tree paper is used, because it softens the light, making it gentle and spreading it evenly."

- Plug-in — no installation required. Plug into any standard wall outlet and use the inline switch on the 59" cord.
- When wiring the lamp holder: connect the black wire to hole 2 and the white wire to hole 3. See the wiring diagram above.
- Minor glue traces at the shade edge are a normal handcraft characteristic — not a defect.
- Handle the paper shade gently — mulberry paper is delicate. Avoid direct contact with water.
- For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms or damp locations.
