The Vera Wall Sconce features an elegant fusion of raw industrial elements and sophisticated woodwork. A circular black travertine shade, textured for an antique finish, sits atop a smooth natural walnut wood base — creating a visually striking contrast. The integrated LED casts warm, inviting accent and ambient light, perfect for hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms. This version plugs into a standard outlet, so it installs without an electrician.
The head of this fixture is designed to pivot 90 degrees to the left and 90 degrees to the right, giving you a full 180 degrees of side-to-side rotational flexibility.
Plug-in cord — no hardwiring
This version comes with a ~6 ft cord and a standard US plug, and switches on and off with the on-fixture pull chain. Mount the wooden base, route the cord to a nearby outlet, and plug in — renter-friendly, no junction box or electrician required.
About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish
The circular shade of this sconce is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be.

Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.

No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural pore structure, weight, and density are fully preserved beneath.

Do I need the metal plate for installation?
