Washi Paper L8 Pendant Light
A tall stacked pendant made of white washi paper with internal structure lines creating geometric facets. Light glows through the paper. Hangs 63 inches and works over a dining table, kitchen island, or bedroom.
What you actually get
The fixture stacks eight individual washi paper modules. Each one is lit from inside, so you see geometric lines glowing through.
Natural paper material diffuses light evenly. Paper is replaceable if it gets damaged or yellows over time.
Long enough for standard 8-foot to 9-foot ceilings over islands, tables, or entryways. Needs a mounted ceiling canopy.

How many bulbs does this fixture take?
Eight bulbs, one in each stacked section. Refer to the installation manual for the exact bulb type and wattage.
What is the diameter at the widest point?
15 inches across. It's narrow enough for islands and doesn't dominate smaller rooms.
Can I install this in a room with an 8-foot ceiling?
Yes. At 63 inches drop, you'll have roughly 5 feet of clearance above a standard island countertop or table.
Is the washi paper glued or sewn to the frame?
The paper is attached to an internal geometric frame structure. The manual will show the correct way to handle it during installation.

Will this pendant work in a double-height foyer or stairwell?+
Yes. At 63″ tall and ∅ 15″ wide, it's ideal for vertical spaces. The cable is adjustable up to 59″ and can be extended upon request through our atelier for custom ceiling heights.
What's the best way to clean the washi paper shade?+
Gently dust the delicate washi paper with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and direct contact with the surface. For persistent dust, use a soft-bristled brush at low pressure.
Can I use an LED bulb or must I use an Edison bulb?+
Either works. The fixture accepts E26 or E27 LED bulbs or Edison bulbs. Choose LED for energy efficiency or Edison for warm vintage ambiance.
What ceiling height do I need for this pendant?+
With 59″ of adjustable cable, it fits ceilings 8–12 feet high. The cable can be extended upon request through our atelier for higher ceilings or custom spacing.
Is this fixture made to order, and can I customize it?+
Yes. Each piece is hand-built in our Vakkerlight atelier. Custom cable lengths and other modifications are available; contact us to discuss your specific needs.
