Siyuan Pendant Lamp: Handcrafted Wood Shade Fixtures
Siyuan is a pendant lamp with a two-part wooden shade that curves around a warm light source. Each shade is made from real wood and finished in your choice of natural wood, walnut, or black. Pairs well over dining tables, kitchen islands, bedroom nightstands, or entry alcoves.

Each pendant has two curved wooden pieces. The wood grain and color vary slightly piece to piece.
All variants come with warm white bulbs. You get a soft amber glow, no daylight or cool options.

Common questions
How tall does Siyuan hang? Will it fit over my dining table?
The longest drop is 59 inches from canopy to shade bottom. Measure from your ceiling to tabletop. Most tables need at least 30-36 inches of clearance, so Siyuan works in standard 8-foot and 9-foot ceilings.
What's the difference between the wood color, walnut, and black finishes?
Wood color is natural light oak. Walnut is a darker brown stain. Black is a dark finish. All three are solid, hand-applied finishes on real wood. The shade shape is identical across all colors.
Can I use this over a kitchen island? What size should I pick?
Yes. For a 3-foot island, try the 3-light versions (15.7" or 19.7" wide). For a 4-foot-plus island, go with 5 lights (27.6" wide for linear). The 9 and 11-light versions suit 5+ foot surfaces.
Is the wood shade fragile? Can I clean it?
The shades are solid wood and sturdy once installed. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak or use water. Avoid placing the fixture near steam or high humidity to protect the wood finish.

What size Siyuan should I choose for my dining table?+
The 5-head circular (∅ 15.7″) or linear (L 27.6″) work well for standard tables. The 9-head (∅ 23.6″) suits larger dining areas. Vakkerlight can custom-size in our atelier—contact us with your table dimensions.
How low can the pendant hang, and can I adjust it?+
The fixture includes 59″ of adjustable hanging cable that can be lengthened as required. Ensure 24–30″ clearance above your table. Our atelier can customize cable length during build.
Which finish should I choose—Wood Color, Walnut, or Black?+
Wood Color is light and bright; Walnut is deeper and warmer; Black is modern and bold. Choose based on your décor. All emit the same warm 3000K glow through the wood shades.
Can I install this myself, or do I need an electrician?+
Hardwired installation requires an electrician to connect to your ceiling outlet. The fixture is AC 110–240V compatible and works with standard wall switches (not included).
How do I clean the wooden shades?+
Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge or use harsh cleaners on the natural wood.
