The Vakkerlight Elira is a uniquely designed ceiling fan that masterfully blends mid-century vintage charm with modern aeroclimatic functionality. ⚠️ Mandatory Installation Limits
For your safety and the structural integrity of the fan, please strictly adhere to the following:
- No Gypsum/Wood Panels: Cannot be installed on drywall, gypsum, or thin wood panels (causes severe wobbling and noise).
- Load Bearing: Must be installed on solid cement concrete or solid wood beams capable of supporting over 20 kg (44 lbs). Beam width must be ≥ 6 cm.
- Flat Ceilings Only: Sloped or vaulted ceilings are not supported by the standard hardware.
- Gasket Requirement: When installing the blades, you must use the provided gaskets. Failure to do so will damage the copper motor wires.

CRITICAL: You must use the provided gaskets when securing the blades. Failure to do so will puncture the copper motor casing.
Can I wire this to two separate wall switches (one for light, one for fan)?
No. This is a DC motor fan. You only need a single standard On/Off power line from the ceiling. All independent controls for the light and the fan speeds are handled internally by the receiver unit and operated via the included handheld remote.
What is a DC motor and why is it better?
Direct Current (DC) motors are up to 70% more energy-efficient than traditional AC motors. They run virtually silent (whisper-quiet), offer more speed options (6 speeds), and run cooler, which significantly extends the life of the fan.
Can I install this on a sloped ceiling?
The standard canopy included is designed for flat ceilings. If you must install on a sloped ceiling, please contact our customer service team prior to ordering, as specialized compatible accessories will be required.
How do I change the light color temperature?
The integrated LED system features three color temperatures (3000K Warm, 4000K Neutral, and 6000K Cool). You can easily cycle through these colors using the dedicated light button on the included remote control.

What size should I choose for my bedroom or living room?+
36″ sweep fits small bedrooms; 42″ suits standard bedrooms and dining areas; 52″ sweep works best for master suites and living rooms. Heights are 13.8″ (Model A) or 15″ (Model B). Measure your ceiling space and room dimensions before ordering.
Can this be installed on my drywall ceiling?+
No. The Elira requires solid concrete or solid wood beam installation only. Drywall causes severe wobbling and noise. Beam width must be ≥6 cm and support over 44 lbs. Standard drywall mounting is unsafe.
How do I control the light and fan speeds?+
Control comes via the included handheld remote—no traditional wall switches or dimmers work with the DC motor. The remote manages 6 fan speeds and light independently. A Wireless Wall Switch is available separately for wall control.
What color and light options are available?+
The Elira features walnut-finished wooden blades with a vintage cream shade and matte black motor finish. Choose three-color changing LED (3000K/4000K/6000K) or warm light only. Finish combinations are consistent across all sizes.
What is included and how do I install it?+
Installation includes two downrods (3.9″ and 7.9″) and gaskets—you must use the gaskets when securing blades or copper motor wires will damage. Direct hard-wiring to ceiling required; standard home wiring works. Professional installation recommended for safe ceiling mounting.
