Translucent pendant with adjustable height and tilt

The Cao Mao is a pendant light shaped like a traditional Chinese rice picker's hat. At 20.5″ diameter and 9.1″ tall, it reads large and sculptural but feels lightweight despite its size. Hang it over a dining table, conference table, or living room seating.

Polyethylene diffuser

Translucent PE shade with adjustable height and tilt. 52cm diameter, 23cm tall. Integrated LED, warm (3000K), neutral (4000K), or cool (6000K) light.

Dimmable with external dimmer

Triac-compatible. Pair with a phase dimmer (not included) to adjust brightness on any wall switch circuit.

Hardwired ceiling mount

Connects to a ceiling box. 59″ adjustable hanging cable included; longer drops and custom canopies available upon request.

What is this made of?

Polyethylene diffuser, iron, plastic, and metal hardware. White finish. Weighs 12 kg (26.5 lbs).

Can I dim it?

Yes. Install a triac phase dimmer on the wall circuit and pair it with this pendant. Dimmer sold separately.

Can I change the drop length?

The included cable is 59″ long and adjustable. Longer drops and custom canopies are available—contact support@vakkerlight.com to order.

Will it work on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?

Yes. We build custom canopies to suit angled ceilings. Reach out to support@vakkerlight.com with your ceiling details.

Will this work in the US?

Yes. It runs on 110–240V AC and is certified for North America. Hardwired installation by a licensed electrician is required. US orders ship free to all 50 states.
