Silken Lotus Pendant Lamp — real silk lantern, lotus form, five sizes.
A lantern form constructed from fine silk panels stitched over a white iron frame — its silhouette swells like a lotus in bloom, the scalloped lower edge echoing petals opening outward. The natural weave of the silk softens and scatters the light from within, producing a warm, glowing volume rather than a directed beam — the entire surface of the shade becomes luminous. Quiet, refined, and deeply warm. Available in five sizes from ∅ 40 cm to ∅ 80 cm.
Real silk — the true effect only reveals itself when lit
The Silken Lotus is made from genuine silk fabric. When unlit, the shade appears as a soft ivory-cream lantern. When lit from within, the silk becomes translucent — the warm light passes through the weave structure, every thread visible as a fine warm grid — and the full depth, warmth, and luminosity of the material reveals itself. Packaging creases in the silk will relax naturally once the lamp is installed and warmed by use. Do not steam, iron, or apply heat directly to the silk shade.

Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs. A warm-white LED at 2700–3000 K is strongly recommended — the warm amber tone passes through the natural silk weave and transforms the entire shade into a warm luminous volume. Frosted globe or standard A-shape LED bulbs at 6–8W per socket provide comfortable, even diffusion through the silk. Avoid cool white (5000K+) which reads harsh through natural fabric. Warm 2700K is the natural match for silk
Natural silk has a warm ivory-cream tone that is deepened and enriched by a 2700 K warm white light source. The amber tone of the light passing through the silk creates a deeply warm, lantern-like ambience that is the Silken Lotus’s defining character. This effect is most visible and most beautiful in low-ambient-light conditions — evenings, dining, and bedside use.

Will the packaging creases in the silk disappear?
Yes — natural silk relaxes with gentle warmth over time. Once installed and the lamp is switched on, the heat from the bulbs will gently ease any packaging creases over the first few hours to days of use. Do not attempt to remove creases with steam, a clothes iron, or any direct heat source — silk is heat-sensitive and can be permanently damaged. If creases persist after a week of regular use, contact our support team.
Which size is right for a dining table?
The ∅ 50 cm version is well-proportioned for a 4-seat round or square table — wide enough to visually anchor the space without overwhelming a compact dining room. The ∅ 60 cm version suits 4–6 seat rectangular tables and is the most versatile choice for a standard dining room. The ∅ 68 and 80 cm versions are for 6–8 seat tables and large open-plan dining areas where the shade needs to read at a greater distance. The ∅ 40 cm is best as a bedroom pendant or above a small café-style table for two.
How do I care for the silk shade?
Dust the shade gently with a soft dry brush or use low-pressure compressed air. Do not use damp cloths, water, any cleaning solution, steam, or a clothes iron on the silk — silk is delicate and moisture or heat can permanently damage or stain the fabric. Keep the shade away from kitchen steam and cooking vapour. If the shade requires more thorough cleaning, contact us before attempting any cleaning method.
