Common questions

How much space does the 8.7 inch shade take up?

The shade is 22 centimeters or 8.7 inches across. It suits a narrow island edge or small table without blocking sightlines. If you're hanging it over a wider surface, a pair works well.

Can I shorten the 59 inch cord if my ceiling is lower?

Yes. You can cut and re-knot the twisted cord to any length you need. The total drop is 59 inches from canopy to shade bottom; adjust it during installation.

What bulb does this take and how bright is it?

The brass socket accepts a standard E26 or E27 screw-base bulb. Brightness depends on the wattage and type you choose—LED, incandescent, or vintage-style filament bulbs all fit.

Will the amber glass look different during the day and night?

Yes. With the light off, the amber glass is transparent and warm in tone. When the bulb is on, it glows and casts a warm light downward. The effect changes based on the bulb color temperature you pick.
