An hourglass travertine pendant — two natural-travertine half-bowls set rim to rim around a black metal collar, forming an hourglass silhouette on a brown braided cord. The lower bowl opens downward for a warm pool of light; the porous stone glows softly along its edge. ⌀5.9″ × H5.5″, integrated LED. For dining tables, kitchen islands, bedsides, and entryways.

About natural travertine
Each bowl is hand-carved from natural travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding vary piece to piece — these are core characteristics of the stone, not defects or damage. The two bowls on one pendant will not match exactly, and that is expected with natural stone.

- The braided cord shortens on-site; over a table or island, hang the lower bowl so its rim sits 30–36″ above the surface.
- The LED is integrated in the lower bowl; end-of-life replacement is handled at authorized service — contact us with your order number rather than replacing the whole fixture.
- Dimmable with a compatible wall dimmer (not included).

- Indoor dry locations only (IP20). Keep clear of direct water — travertine is porous and absorbs moisture.
How is this different from the other travertine pendants?
Shape and light. This Hourglass pendant is two stone half-bowls meeting at a black collar, with an integrated LED throwing a downward pool from the lower bowl. The Sliced Globe is a sphere cut on a diagonal that glows through a seam (G9); the Ribbed is a horizontal-ribbed cylinder that glows from its open base (E27). Pick Hourglass for a compact sculptural double-bowl with soft downlight.
The travertine has holes and pits — is that a defect?
No — those are natural to travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding are core characteristics of the stone, not flaws or shipping damage. Each bowl is hand-carved, so the two bowls on one pendant won't match exactly — that variation is the point of a natural-stone fixture.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated and rated over 30,000 hours — roughly 25 years at 3 hours of daily use. It isn't a user-swappable bulb; if it fails within or after the warranty period, contact authorized service with your order number for a replacement LED module rather than replacing the whole fixture.
How high should I hang it over a table?
Hang the lower bowl so its rim sits 30–36″ above the table or island surface, keeping the downward pool at a comfortable level. The braided cord shortens on-site; for stairwells or high ceilings it can be ordered longer. Email us your ceiling height if you'd like a custom drop.
Can I install it in a bathroom, and what's the warranty?
Only away from water — it's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations, so keep it clear of shower or tub spray. Travertine is porous and absorbs moisture. 2-year warranty on the fixture and wiring; the LED is covered under the same warranty.
