The 6-head models (V1, V2) use 6 bulbs. The 8-head models (V3, V4) use 8 bulbs. Each globe accepts a standard E26 base bulb. You pick the wattage and color temperature you want.

Will this work over a standard dining table?

Yes. The 6-head version (V1 or V2) at 48 inches tall fits well over a typical 36- to 42-inch-wide table. Install it so the bottom of the lowest globe is about 30 to 36 inches above the table surface.

What's the difference between the brass and black finishes?

Brass (V1, V3) has a warm metallic tone that suits traditional, transitional, and mid-century spaces. Black (V2, V4) is darker and pairs with modern, industrial, and contemporary interiors. Both are the same price within their head count.
