What size dining table does the Tsunami Wave Chandelier work with?+

At 44.9″ long, this chandelier suits dining tables 48″–60″ wide. It positions well over standard four-to-six-seat tables. Contact our atelier to discuss custom sizing for larger or smaller tables.

How much ceiling height do I need?+

The fixture body is 3.5″ tall. It includes 59″ of adjustable hanging cable that can be lengthened as required, giving flexibility for 8–12 ft ceilings and custom heights.

Should I choose dark wood or light wood?+

Dark wood lends modern warmth and pairs with walnut tones; light wood works with natural oak or Scandinavian palettes. Both feature a smoke grey shade. Choose based on your existing wood finishes and desired ambiance.

Is the Tsunami Wave Chandelier made to order?+

Yes, all Vakkerlight pieces are hand-built in our workshop to order. We accept requests for custom sizing, finishes, or mounting specifications—contact us to discuss your project.

What bulbs does it use and can I adjust brightness?+

The fixture accepts LED or Edison bulbs (E26/E27 bases). It is compatible with standard wall switches and can be paired with a dimmer switch for brightness control as a build-to-order option.

Selection & Seasoning

Each board is assessed for grain quality and moisture content. Timber is kiln-dried to prevent future movement before entering the workshop.

Turning & Shaping

Forms are shaped on the lathe, routed, and hand-carved where the design demands it. Traditional joinery ensures strength without relying on adhesives alone.

Finishing & Wiring

Multiple coats of hand-applied oil or lacquer, sanded between each pass. Electrical components fitted by certified technicians and tested before shipping.

Quality Inspection
