The Virelia Sculptural Mulberry Silk Pendant Light transforms translucent woven silk into a slender sequence of curved, rounded, and tapered forms. Each design creates a different vertical rhythm while maintaining the same narrow 30 cm diameter, making the collection especially suitable for rooms where dramatic height is desired without a wide fixture. The warm integrated LED softly illuminates the silk from within, creating an elegant focal point for dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, stairwells, foyers, and double-height interiors.

- Hardwired ceiling installation is required. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Confirm the selected Style A, B, C, D, E, or F before preparing the ceiling mounting point.
- Measure the available ceiling height carefully, especially when selecting the longer Style D, E, or F versions.
- Style F is especially suitable for stairwells, foyers, and double-height rooms with adequate vertical clearance.
- Adjust the suspension cable before completing the final ceiling installation.
- Support the internal metal frame when moving or installing the fixture. Do not lift it by the silk surface.
- Keep the pendant away from doors, curtains, cabinets, and areas where the silk surface may be touched frequently.
- The integrated LED light source does not require a standard replacement bulb.
- Remove dust gently with a feather duster, soft clean brush, or low-suction vacuum attachment.
- Do not wash, soak, scrub, steam, or apply household cleaning chemicals to the silk.

Each style uses an integrated high-brightness LED system with a warm-white 3000K color temperature.
Does the pendant require a separate bulb?
No. The LED light source is integrated into the fixture, so a standard replaceable bulb is not required.
What is the LED power for each style?
Style A and B use 30W LEDs, Style C uses 24W, Style D and E use 40W, and Style F uses a 51W integrated LED system.
Will every silk pendant look exactly the same?
No. Slight differences in fiber texture, folds, translucency, profile alignment, and surface tension are normal because the silk is shaped by hand.
Where does this pendant work best?
The shorter styles work well in dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms. The taller styles are suitable for stairwells, foyers, entryways, and double-height interiors.
Can it be installed outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. The pendant is designed for indoor dry locations only. The silk surface should be kept away from rain, steam, high humidity, and direct contact with water.

Which Virelia style works best for a tall foyer or stairwell?+
Style F (74.3″ H, 51W LED) and Style E (59.4″ H, 40W LED) are designed for stairwells and double-height rooms where dramatic vertical presence is desired. Style D (56.3″ H, 40W LED) suits high ceilings in living and dining spaces.
What ceiling height do I need for each Virelia size?+
All styles have a 11.8″ diameter and require a ceiling height at least 6–8 feet above the floor. Taller styles (E, F) benefit from ceilings 10+ feet. Adjustable hanging cable allows customization during installation.
Is the Virelia made to order, and can I request a custom height?+
Yes, Virelia is handcrafted by the Vakkerlight atelier. Contact us to discuss custom sizing options beyond the six standard styles. Each fixture is built individually.
How do I clean the translucent silk?+
Gently dust the silk surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and harsh chemicals. The woven fibers are delicate; handle with care. For detailed care, contact Vakkerlight directly.
Can I dim the Virelia or replace the LED?+
The integrated 3000K LED does not require replacement. Dimming is available as a build-to-order option; specify Triac dimming compatibility when ordering. Contact Vakkerlight to add this feature.
