Common questions

How much ceiling height do I actually need?

At minimum, measure from ceiling to the highest point you want the lowest pendant to sit. V1 drops 9.8 inches, so a 10-foot ceiling works fine. V6 drops 137.8 inches, meaning you need either a 12+ foot ceiling or a two-story open space to hang it without the bottom bulbs hitting a floor or railing.

Can I use this over a staircase?

Yes. Stairwells are where these longer variants shine. V4 (98.4 inches) and V5 (118.1 inches) work well in open stairwells because the pendants can cascade down the center without blocking sightlines. Measure your vertical distance carefully and leave clearance above any railings.

What's the difference between the black canopy sizes?

V1 has a 3.9-inch canopy. V2 and V3 step up to 7.9 and 11.8 inches. V6 reaches 19.7 inches. Larger canopies support more pendants and distribute weight across a wider ceiling anchor. The hardware and cord count scale with the number of lights.

Do all the shades light up at the same brightness?

Yes. Each pendant has its own bulb socket wired to the same circuit. They run on standard household current. All shades glow with equal intensity once powered on. You control them as one fixture, not individually.

Every piece is made to order in our own atelier — here is what most clients ask before choosing theirs.

What size should I choose for my stairwell or foyer?+

For 8–10 ft single-story foyers, choose 3 or 5-light. Standard two-story stairwells (~16 ft) fit 7 or 9-light. Tall stairwells or 20+ ft foyers need 11-light. Email your ceiling height for a free custom layout mockup.

What are the drop lengths available?+

Standard drops run 59″ (3-light) to 138″ (11-light). Cables shorten on-site. For drops beyond the standard max, request extended cable when ordering. We'll customize the length to fit your space.

Can I choose a different hardware finish?+

Yes. Gold-finished iron is default. Matte black, brushed nickel, and satin brass finishes are available on request. All hardware is made in our atelier to your specification.

How do I care for the natural alabaster shades?+

Alabaster is natural stone—small surface variations and veining are inherent, not defects. Dust gently. Each 3.9″ × 9.8″ shade is hand-carved, so appearance varies slightly between pieces.

What bulbs and controls work with this chandelier?+

Uses G9 base bulbs (LED or halogen; max 5W LED recommended). Compatible with common dimmers (not included). 3–5W G9 LED in 2700K warm white per shade preserves the alabaster's natural color.
