Arch-shaped aluminum, iconic Danish pendant.
The Semi Pendant is a unique masterpiece — two quarter-circles joined back-to-back to form a distinctive arch-shaped shade in lacquered, spun aluminum. First achieving widespread success in the 1980s as the best-selling Danish design of its era, Semi's timeless form creates a soft, diffused cone of light ideal above a dining table or kitchen work surface. Now available in seven colors.
⚠ Choose a compact bulb that fits within the shade
To achieve the iconic look shown in product photos — with the light source neatly concealed within the curve of the shade — use a compact, globe-style bulb with an E27 screw base, small enough in diameter and height to stay hidden within the arch.
Standard or oversized bulbs may protrude beyond the rim of the shade and alter the intended aesthetic.
∅47cm (18.5") version: bulb wattage must not exceed 15W. A bulb that is too large may extend beyond the rim.

Yes — max 15W for the ∅47cm version. Bulbs above this wattage tend to be physically larger and may extend beyond the rim.

What bulb does the Semi Pendant require?+
A G45 globe-style bulb with E26 or E27 base. The G45's smaller size keeps it hidden within the arch. Standard or oversized bulbs will protrude beyond the rim and alter the look.
Is there a wattage limit?+
The 18.5″ version requires max 15W—higher-wattage G45 bulbs are physically larger and may extend beyond the rim. The 14.9″ version accommodates standard G45 wattage.
Does this pendant need hardwiring?+
No. It's plug-in with a 59″ cord and inline on/off switch—no electrician or wiring required. Cable drop is adjustable and extendable on request.
Which size works above a dining table?+
The 18.5″ version suits standard dining tables. The 14.9″ works for smaller tables or kitchen islands. Our atelier can adjust cord length and discuss sizing during your order.
How many color options are available?+
Eleven: Matte Black, Matte White, Gold, Chrome, Orange, Yellow, Creamy White, Green, Beige, Dark Red, and Rose Gold. All are lacquered spun aluminum.
