Each cone is hand-cut from natural travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding vary piece to piece — these are core characteristics of the stone, not defects or damage. No two shades are identical.

How is this different from the other travertine sconces?
Shape, mount, and bulb. This Conical light is a cone shade on a black arm and round walnut backplate, with an E27 bulb — it aims a soft pool downward. The Slot sconce is a tall cylinder glowing through a face slot; the Tapered is a low wedge; the Column Globe pairs a stone bar with an opal glass globe — all three use G9. Pick Conical for a downward reading-style glow with a warm wood backplate.
The travertine has holes and pits — is that a defect?
No — those are natural to travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding are core characteristics of the stone, not flaws or shipping damage. Each cone is hand-cut, so no two are exactly alike; that variation is the point of a natural-stone fixture.
What bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
One E27 bulb (standard medium base), not included. A 2700K warm-white E27 LED gives the warmest glow through the stone. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer (sold separately).
Can I install it in a bathroom?
Only away from water. It's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations — fine on a bedroom or hallway wall, but not in a bathroom wet zone. Travertine is porous and the walnut backplate is real wood; both absorb moisture, which stains and warps over time.
How do I clean it, and what's the warranty?
Dust with a soft dry cloth only — no water or acidic cleaners, which etch natural stone and mark wood. 2-year warranty on the fixture and wiring; E27 bulbs are standard replaceable parts. Email support for help — we reply within one business day.
