- Free-standing — plug into a wall outlet. No electrician required. Place on a flat stable surface.
- The weighted round base keeps the slim profile stable; lift by the base when relocating, not by the thin rod.
- The RC remote handles dimming wirelessly. Pair the remote when first powered on (see included guide). Keep the remote within 30 ft line-of-sight for best response.
How does the RC dimmer work?
The lamp includes a small wireless RC (radio-controlled) remote. It pairs with the lamp's built-in receiver — press and hold the dim button to step through brightness levels, or press the on/off button. Unlike Wi-Fi smart bulbs, it doesn't need an app, hub, or network — pure radio frequency, works out of the box. Range is roughly 30 ft line-of-sight. The inline cord switch also works as a simple on/off override.
How bright is 10W?
The 10W integrated LED produces roughly 700–900 lumens — comparable to a 60W incandescent. The light spreads from the entire vertical rod (not a point source), giving even bedside or desk task lighting. Dim down for ambient/mood lighting, full brightness for focused tasks. At 6000K (Cool) the light reads brightest; at 3000K (Warm) slightly softer but more relaxing for evening use.
Will it stay stable on a small surface?
Yes — the 6.6 lb weight is concentrated in the round flat base (~ 5.9″ diameter), giving a low center of gravity. Stable on bedside tables, desks, console tables, and side tables. Avoid soft uneven surfaces (like fabric or thick rugs) where the base can rock. For pet or kid-active homes, place on a stable shelf rather than a tippy round table.
Which color temperature should I pick?
3000K (Warm): bedrooms, living rooms, evening ambient — pairs with warm wood tones and cozy interiors. 4000K (Neutral): desks, home offices, kitchens — most versatile for task and reading. 6000K (Cool): workshops, studios, makeup vanities — brightest perceived light, best for color-accurate tasks. Color temperature is fixed at order — choose carefully.
Can I extend the cord?
The standard cord is 59″ (150 cm) — enough for most table placements relative to wall outlets. Longer cords are available on request; specify your desired length when ordering. For permanent placement far from an outlet, consider a cord-management strip or floor-cord cover to keep the slim aesthetic intact. Email support@vakkerlight.com for custom cord lengths.
