Alabaster Shell Brass Chandelier
Pendant made from white alabaster shell plates hung from a brass frame and chain. Light passes through the shells creating a soft glow. Install it in a 2-story foyer, stairwell, or dining room where you have at least 7 feet of clear drop space.
What you actually get
Each plate is a real alabaster shell. They're semi-translucent, so light glows through them from inside.
Start small at 17.7" diameter for a bedroom. Go up to 43.3" for a grand foyer. Bulb count ranges from 6 to 30 lights.
Polished brass fixture matches the hardware. Chain length can be adjusted during installation.

What size alabaster chandelier do I need for a 2-story foyer?
It depends on your ceiling height and foyer width. For a 16-18 foot ceiling, the 4-layer 80cm or 5-layer 90cm models work well. For a 20+ foot foyer, the 6-layer 110cm model is better. The drop length (height of fixture) ranges from 17.7" to 35.4", so account for that when measuring your available space.
Do I have to change bulbs above the stairs?
Not if you use LED bulbs in E14 sockets. LED candelabra bulbs last 15,000+ hours. On a staircase, you'd rarely be turning it on and off, so the bulbs stay fresh.
Is this chandelier made to order?
Yes. Vakkerlight offers a free drop plan during ordering. You specify your ceiling height and desired hang point, and they adjust the chain length before shipping.
Will the alabaster shells crack or stain over time?
Alabaster is soft and porous. Avoid touching the shells unnecessarily and keep them dust-free with a soft brush. They don't stain easily, but prolonged moisture exposure can discolor them. Not suitable for bathrooms or steamy kitchens.
How much weight does this fixture add to the ceiling?
The smallest model (2-layer, 6 lights) weighs roughly 8–10 lbs. The largest (6-layer, 30 lights) can be 30–35 lbs. All require a standard ceiling box and support bracket rated for the weight. Consult an electrician if you're unsure about your ceiling's capacity.
