A soft, sculptural ceiling pendant — cotton paper hand-pasted onto a bamboo-rib frame, shaped into a rounded onion silhouette with horizontal ribbing that catches the light. Two sizes: 17.7″ or 23.6″ diameter. The paper diffuses the bulb into a warm, even glow. For dining tables, foyers, bedrooms, or a quiet living-room corner.

Handcrafted — slight variation expected
The paper is hand-pasted onto the bamboo frame. Each shade shows slight differences in paper texture, paste lines, and how light passes through the ribs — part of the craft, not a defect. Email us for photos of in-stock pieces before ordering.
Paper-shade safety — use an LED bulb only
The shade is paper on a bamboo frame and the bulb hangs inside. Use only an LED bulb up to 40W — incandescent and halogen bulbs run too hot for a paper shade and can scorch or ignite. Do not exceed the wattage on the socket label.
- Hardwired ceiling install over a standard junction box — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Use only an LED bulb, E26/E27 medium base, max 40W. Never use incandescent or halogen — the paper shade can scorch. Bulb not included.
- For a dining table, allow 30–36″ between the bottom of the shade and the table surface. The cord can be shortened during install; email us if you need a custom drop length confirmed in advance.
- The paper shade and bamboo ribs are delicate. Lift the pendant by the ceiling canopy, not the shade. Avoid bumping into the shade once installed.
- Indoor and dry locations only (IP20). Not for bathrooms, outdoor exposure, or kitchen steam areas — paper absorbs moisture and will warp.
- Dust the shade with a soft, dry brush only. Do not use water, cleaners, or vacuum suction — water will spot the paper and suction can pull or tear it.
Which size should I pick?
The 17.7″ Small suits a bedroom, foyer, side corner, or a smaller dining table. The 23.6″ Large is sized for a standard dining table, living-room center, or larger entryway. As a rule, choose a pendant about ½ to ⅔ the width of the table or area below it.
Why does it have to be an LED bulb?
The paper shade encloses the bulb. LED bulbs run cool to the touch; incandescent and halogen run hot enough to scorch or burn paper. We require an LED for this reason. Use a warm-white LED, max 40W equivalent.
How fragile is the paper shade?
The paper is hand-pasted onto bamboo ribs — delicate but not flimsy. It will tear or dent if struck, pressed firmly, or rubbed wet. Once installed at ceiling height, it's out of harm's way; the risk is during unpacking and install. Lift by the canopy, not the shade.
Can I clean it?
Dust only — with a soft, dry brush. No water, no cleaning sprays, no vacuum suction (suction can pull the paper). If the paper is permanently marked, the shade can be replaced; email us with photos and order number.
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on wiring and socket. Hand-finish variation in the paper and bamboo is not a defect; tears or scorch marks from misuse (wrong bulb, knocks, water) are not covered. Email support with photos within 7 days of delivery for any transit damage.

Which size should I choose for my dining table?+
The 23.6″ Large (60 cm diameter) is sized for standard dining tables. As a rule, pick a pendant about ½ to ⅔ the width of the table below it. The 17.7″ Small suits smaller tables or side corners.
