A cleft travertine globe wall sconce — a ⌀7.9″ sphere of natural travertine that mounts half-proud of the wall, split by a single horizontal cleft that glows warm from within. The porous stone reads as a solid orb by day and a band of light at night. Integrated G4 LED. For bedsides, hallways, stairwells, entryways, and accent walls.

About natural travertine
Each globe is hand-carved from natural travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding vary piece to piece — these are core characteristics of the stone, not defects or damage. No two globes are identical, and the cleft profile varies slightly between pieces.

- Hardwired wall install — a licensed electrician is recommended. The globe mounts half-proud of the wall over a standard junction box, with the cleft running horizontally.
- Mount the cleft level for a clean band of light; check with a level before final tightening.
- The G4 LED is integrated and hidden inside the cleft; end-of-life replacement is handled at authorized service — contact us with your order number.
- Dimmable with a compatible wall dimmer (not included).

How is this different from the sliced travertine globe pendant?
Mount, size, and light. This Cleft sconce mounts on the wall, half-proud, as a ⌀7.9″ orb with a single level cleft glowing across it — and uses an integrated G4 LED. The Sliced Globe is a smaller ⌀5.1″ hanging pendant whose two halves are cut on a diagonal and offset, glowing through the gap on a G9 bulb. Pick Cleft for a wall orb with a clean band of light; pick Sliced Globe for a hanging sculptural sphere.
The travertine has holes and pits — is that a defect?
No — those are natural to travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding are core characteristics of the stone, not flaws or shipping damage. Each globe is hand-carved, so no two are exactly alike, and the cleft profile varies slightly between pieces — that variation is the point of a natural-stone fixture.
Is the LED replaceable?
The G4 LED is integrated and rated over 30,000 hours — roughly 25 years at 3 hours of daily use. It isn't a user-swappable bulb; if it fails within or after the warranty period, contact authorized service with your order number for a replacement LED module rather than replacing the whole fixture.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — the integrated G4 LED is 2700K warm white and dimmable when paired with a compatible wall dimmer (not included). A dimmed setting makes the cleft read as a soft ember line, which works well as a hallway or bedside night glow.
Can I install it in a bathroom, and what's the warranty?
Only away from water — it's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations, so keep it clear of shower or tub spray. Travertine is porous and absorbs moisture. 2-year warranty on the fixture and wiring; the LED is covered under the same warranty. Email support for help — we reply within one business day.
