A two-tier pendant — a small domed metal reflector at top suspended above a flat white acrylic disk by three thin steel cables. The dome bounces light upward to the ceiling; the disk diffuses the downward output; together they produce three layers of light from a single bulb. Mid-century modern Italian aesthetic. Available in 15.7″ or 23.6″ disk diameter. Dome in polished chrome or red enamel.

Dome + disk silhouette
A small upper dome reflector tethered above a flat lower disk diffuser — visually distinctive from any angle.
3-direction lighting
Upward bounce off the dome, downward diffusion through the disk, and reflected glow off the disk's white top.
Three-cable suspension
Thin tensioned steel cables hold the disk in floating position — visually weightless, structurally rigid.
Lower disk is matte white acrylic (fixed across both finishes). Black cable, canopy, and central stem are also fixed.
Color recommendations
Polished chrome is the more versatile choice — neutral, mirrors surrounding wall colors, fades into modern minimalist interiors, and reads more refined under dimmed light. Red enamel is the design statement — works as a punctuation accent in monochrome rooms, mid-century modern spaces with primary-color accents, or anywhere you want a visual focal point. Choose chrome for the larger 23.6″ in subtle rooms; choose red for the smaller 15.7″ when you want it to stand out.

- Hardwired ceiling install — licensed electrician recommended. Standard junction box behind the canopy.
- The dome, stem, and canopy mount as one assembly; the acrylic disk attaches to the three suspension cables on-site after the upper unit is wired and secured. Two-person handling makes the disk attachment easier — one holds the disk level while the other tensions the cables.
- E26/E27 LED bulb sold separately. Recommended: 2700K warm-white LED, ≤9W (60W incandescent equivalent). The dome reflector is open at the top — a higher-temperature 4000K bulb shifts the upward-bounced ceiling glow cooler, which may not match warm interiors. Avoid high-wattage halogen — the dome retains heat and the acrylic disk below can yellow over time.
- Indoor dry locations only. Acrylic is heat-sensitive — do not install above stovetops or any heat source.
How does the three-layer lighting actually look?
A single bulb sits inside the dome facing downward. Direct downward light passes through the white acrylic disk below, diffused into a soft pool. Indirect upward light bounces off the dome's interior and hits the ceiling, creating ambient room glow. Reflected light bounces off the upper white surface of the disk back toward the dome and outward, giving the fixture a subtle floating quality even when lit. The effect reads warmest with 2700K LED and amber-tone walls.
Which size should I order — 15.7″ or 23.6″?
Small (15.7″) — accent over a side table, in a foyer, breakfast nook, or as a pair flanking a sofa. Large (23.6″) — focal point above a 5–8 ft dining table, kitchen island, or in a living room as a single dramatic pendant. The two share the same 28.7″ vertical drop — only the disk and dome diameters differ. For rooms with 9 ft ceilings, the small reads more proportionate; 10+ ft ceilings handle the large comfortably.
Chrome or red?
Chrome is the more versatile choice — neutral, blends with most interiors, and reflects nearby surfaces (warm wood floors warm it; cool grey walls cool it). Red enamel is the bold design choice — works as a focal point in monochrome or mid-century modern interiors. Choose red when you want the lamp itself to be the visual statement; choose chrome when you want the lamp to fade into a sophisticated background.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — compatible with standard TRIAC (forward-phase) wall dimmers like Lutron Caséta or Leviton, paired with a dimmable LED bulb. Dimming changes the three-layer character: at full brightness, all three light layers (direct down, bounce up, reflected) are visible; dimmed to 40%, only the central pool and a soft ceiling glow remain — softer and more intimate.
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on the dome, stem, canopy, hardware, and wiring. The acrylic disk is included under warranty for manufacturing defects and broken-in-transit replacement (email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos within 7 days of delivery). Replacement disks are stocked for 3 years after order as paid-service parts. E26/E27 bulbs are standard replaceable parts.
