A hand-carved Iranian alabaster cylinder set inside a faceted clear glass shell, suspended from a slim black cord. The natural stone diffuses LED light into a soft, glare-free glow with unique veining in every shade. This alabaster pendant light is sized for kitchen islands, dining tables, foyers, and breakfast nooks — available as a single pendant or a 2- or 3-light linear cluster up to 15.7″ wide.

Each shade has unique veining
Alabaster veining is a property of the stone, not a print pattern. The shade you receive will have its own grain, color tone, and translucency. This is expected, not a defect.

Standard ships in grey metal with a black cord. For matte black, brushed brass, antique gold, longer linear runs, or alternate stone tones, email support@vakkerlight.com. Custom orders add 2–4 weeks lead time.

- Hardwired install — requires a standard ceiling junction box. A licensed electrician is recommended for first-time installers.
- For kitchen island use, hang the bottom of the shade 30–36″ above the counter. For dining tables, 30–34″ above the table top.
- The 59.1″ cable can be shortened during install. 8-ft ceilings are the practical minimum for a single pendant; 9-ft+ recommended for the 3-light linear.
- For multi-pendant installs over an island, space pendant centers 24–30″ apart and leave at least 6″ from the island edge to the first pendant.
- Sloped ceilings require a sloped-ceiling adapter (sold separately — contact us with your slope angle).
Is this alabaster pendant light bright enough for a kitchen island?
For ambient lighting, yes. With 2700K–3000K E12 or E14 LED bulbs (40W equivalent each), one Model B or a 2/3-light linear configuration provides soft, glare-free coverage over a standard 5–8 ft island. For dedicated task lighting, pair with under-cabinet strips.
What size should I choose for my kitchen island or dining table?
Match pendant diameter to roughly one-third of the island width. For a 6 ft island, the 2-light linear (∅ 9.8″ × 47.2″) works well. For 8+ ft islands, the 3-light wide (∅ 15.7″ × 59.1″). Hang 30–36″ above the counter.
Can this pendant be installed in a bathroom or covered outdoor area?
No. The fixture is IP20-rated — indoor dry locations only. Alabaster is a porous natural stone; humidity from showers, steam, or outdoor exposure can stain or degrade the shade and voids the warranty. For damp-rated alternatives, contact our team.
Can I install it on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, with a sloped-ceiling adapter (sold separately). Email support@vakkerlight.com with your slope angle and we'll ship the correct adapter with your fixture.
What is the warranty if the alabaster shade arrives damaged?
Two-year manufacturer warranty on electrical components. Alabaster shades are double-packed; if your stone arrives chipped or cracked, send photos to support@vakkerlight.com within 30 days for a free replacement shade.

What size should I choose for my kitchen island or dining table?+
Model A (7.9″) fits vanities; Model B (9.8″) suits breakfast nooks. 2-light linear (47.2″) works for 5–6 ft islands; 3-light slim (59.1″, 11.8″ diameter) fits 6–8 ft dining; 3-light wide (59.1″, 15.7″ diameter) for 8+ ft islands. Custom sizes available through our atelier.
What ceiling height do I need?+
8-foot ceilings are the practical minimum for single pendants. Hang the shade bottom 30–36″ above counters, 30–34″ above dining tables. The 59.1″ adjustable cable can be shortened during hardwired installation by a licensed electrician.
Which color finish should I choose?+
Standard ships in grey metal with black cord. Choose Clear & White Iranian alabaster for bright, neutral interiors, or Smoke grey & White for warmer, softer tones. Each stone shade has unique veining—no two are identical. Matte black, brushed brass, and antique gold available custom.
Can I customize the size or finish?+
Yes. Beyond standard 1-, 2-, and 3-light configurations, our atelier creates longer linear runs, alternate stone tones, and custom metal finishes (matte black, brushed brass, antique gold). Custom orders add 2–4 weeks. Email support@vakkerlight.com for a quote.
How do I clean and maintain the alabaster shade?+
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water or harsh cleaners on the natural stone. The faceted glass outer protects the carved alabaster. IP20 rating means indoor dry locations only—not suitable for bathrooms or damp areas.
