The Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier is a sculptural chandelier — hand-formed translucent textured glass discs cascade in tiers from brass arms radiating off a central downrod. Each ∅7.7" disc has its own organic surface, refracting light into a soft warm wash. Available in 4 sizes (∅17.7" / 23.6" / 31.5" / 39.4") with 4, 6, 8, or 10 E14 or E12 candelabra bulbs. For dining rooms, foyers, two-story entryways, hotel lobbies, restaurants, art galleries, banquet halls, and Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, contemporary, or transitional interiors.

The translucent glass discs on the Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier are individually hand-formed by artisans. Each disc has its own surface texture — undulations, crystal-like inclusions, slight thickness differences. Discs within the same chandelier vary subtly, catching light at different angles for a layered glow. These natural characteristics are part of the design and are not defects. If you need an exactly uniform fixture, choose a machine-pressed glass alternative.

Hanging height for dining tables
Hang the bottom of the Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier 30-36 inches above the dining table or kitchen island surface. The standard rod is 19.7" (50 cm = 30 + 20 cm two-piece adjustable). The rod can be shortened by your electrician or extended on request — email info@vakkerlight.com if your ceiling exceeds 12 feet.
Match diameter to room and table
Chandelier diameter should be roughly 1/2 to 2/3 of dining table width. For open foyers, the diameter should approximately equal (room length in feet + room width in feet) inches. Size S (∅17.7"): 8-9 ft ceiling, 36-48" table. Size M (∅23.6"): 9-10 ft ceiling, 48-60" table. Size L (∅31.5"): 10-12 ft ceiling, 60-72" table. Size XL (∅39.4"): 12 ft+ ceiling, 72-96" table or grand foyer.
Junction box weight support
The Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier with all its glass discs is substantial. Confirm your ceiling junction box rates at: Size S/M: ≥30 lbs. Size L: ≥50 lbs. Size XL: ≥80 lbs (~27 lbs / 12 kg fixture + safety margin). Older homes may need a heavy-duty fan-rated junction box upgrade for Size XL.
Pair the right bulb for the warm glow
Use E14 or E12 candelabra base bulbs — Warm White 2700K LED at 4-5W (40W equivalent), candle or flame shape. The translucent glass discs diffuse light evenly across the textured surface, so any frosted or smooth-glass LED works. Avoid clear filament-style LEDs (the filament shape ghosts through the discs).
Indoor dry location only
The Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier is rated for indoor dry locations. Do not install in bathrooms above a tub or shower, kitchens directly above a sink or stove, screened porches, covered patios, or any outdoor area. Exposed bulbs, brass arms, and the textured glass discs are not designed for humid or wet environments. For damp or outdoor spaces, choose a wet- or damp-location fixture.

Will the glass discs on my Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier look exactly like the photo?
Not exactly — and that's by design. Each glass disc is hand-formed by artisans, so every disc has its own surface texture: undulations, crystal-like inclusions, and slight thickness differences. Discs within the same chandelier vary subtly. These natural characteristics catch light at different angles and add depth to the cascading layered effect. The chandelier you receive will have its own character that does not perfectly match the photo. If you need an exactly uniform glass look, choose a machine-pressed glass chandelier instead.
What bulb does the Cascading Glass Disc Chandelier use, and is it dimmable?
Each arm holds one E14 or E12 candelabra base bulb. Recommended: 4-5W LED at Warm White 2700K, candle or flame shape, frosted glass. The textured discs diffuse light evenly, so frosted bulbs give the warmest glow. Avoid clear filament-style LEDs — the filament shape ghosts through the translucent discs. Total bulbs: 4, 6, 8, or 10 depending on size. Bulbs sold separately. Dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 or E12 LED bulbs and a compatible TRIAC or trailing-edge wall dimmer.
How much weight does my ceiling need to support?
