About the Black Travertine — Genuine Natural Stone with a Matte Black Surface Finish
The cylindrical shade of this ceiling light is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating—rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The porous exterior texture is authentic—this is exactly as it was designed to be.
Natural Travertine — Formed by Geological Processes
Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.

Packaging Odor upon Opening — Normal, Dissipates within a Few Days
During transportation, the travertine is sealed within protective packaging. Due to long-distance transit, the enclosed environment and packaging materials may produce a slight odor upon opening. This is completely normal and will fully dissipate after a few days. It does not affect the safety or quality of the product.

Is the travertine naturally black, or is it surface treated?
Travertine is geologically off-white or beige. This fixture is sculpted from genuine travertine stone and finished with a curated matte black surface coating. The natural geological pore structure, stone density, and substantial weight are 100% preserved beneath, providing an authentic tactile, volcanic texture.
What type of bulb does this light use, and is it dimmable?
The light houses a standard medium socket: E26 for North America or E27 for Europe/UK/Australia. We recommend a warm LED filament bulb (2700K–3000K) to activate the golden reflections of the metallic inner lining. When paired with a dimmable bulb and a compatible wall dimmer switch, brightness can be smoothly adjusted.
Will there be an odor when I open the package?
Because genuine stone is sealed within protective transit packaging over long distances, a minor packaging scent may be noticeable immediately upon unboxing. This is completely normal, harmless, and fully dissipates within a few days of room ventilation without affecting stone integrity or safety.
How is this fixture installed and is it certified?
