The Scantling is built using a combination of wood and metal which gives the piece an almost graphic appearance. The fully rotating shade is held is place with arms and hinges that are assembled with such technical precision that the use of springs or counterweight are not required to keep the lamp in the selected position.

Great lamp! It is in our guest room on a small desk (also purchased through Wayfair). But this lamp is very versatile and would work in many different spaces throughout your home or an office.

This lamp is exactly what it looks like. No surprises here! It holds up well, looks sleek, but works like a charm.

I'm pleased to have found a tall, adjustable lamp for my desk. I think it's going to work perfectly for my needs. It is very well made and has a heavy base. Once on the desk, it's not going anywhere. Because the interior of the lamp around the bulb is white, it reflects very well.
