Common questions

How low does this fixture hang below the ceiling?

All three variants drop 59.1 inches total from the canopy. Measure your ceiling height and the height of the surface below (table, counter, or floor) to confirm clearance.

Can I use this over a kitchen island?

Yes. The V2 (12-light, 13.8 inches wide) is the most popular for islands. The V1 works for narrower islands, and the V3 suits larger ones. All three hang at 59.1 inches, which gives good sight lines over a counter.

What kind of bulbs does it use, and how many?

V1 uses 6 bulbs, V2 uses 12, and V3 uses 18. Each pendant holds one bulb. The fixture accepts standard E12 candelabra-base bulbs.

What is the diameter of each individual glass shade?

The oval pendants vary slightly, but the fixture's overall width (diameter of the cluster) is 11.8 inches for V1, 13.8 inches for V2, and 16.5 inches for V3.

The fixture is 59.1″ tall. Hanging wire and chain length are customizable to fit your ceiling height. Allow clearance below for the mussel clusters. Contact us to specify your installation height.

What finish and color options are available?+

Gold metal body with clear rippled glass shells. Our atelier offers custom finish colors and materials—email info@vakkerlighting.com with your design requirements for a personalized quote.

Is this made to order?+

Yes. The Mussels Cluster is hand-built in our workshop. You can customize size, finish, wire length, and light sources. Contact us for a personalized quote and lead time.

G4 LED or Edison bulbs. AC 110–240V. Compatible with standard wall switches. Triac dimming is available as a build-to-order option.
