Arvo Cylinder Pendant Lamp in Travertine
Concrete travertine cylinder with a wood accent cap hanging from a black cord. The travertine shows natural pitting and variation. Available as a single pendant or a multi-head cascade that drops up to 157 inches.

Common questions
What's the difference between the wood color and walnut versions?
The travertine shade is the same on both. The cap that sits on top is light natural wood on the wood-color versions (V1, V3, V5, V7, V9, V11, V13) and dark walnut stain on the walnut versions (V2, V4, V6, V8, V10, V12, V14). Choose walnut if your room has dark wood floors or furniture.
Can I use a single Arvo in a hallway, or do I need the cascade?
You can hang V1 or V2 alone in a hallway, bathroom, or any spot where you want a small accent light. They're 6.7 inches tall. If your hallway has 10-foot ceilings or higher and you want a statement, the 3-head (V3, V4 at 59 inches) works well. Smaller rooms suit the single pendant.
How many heads should I get for a two-story stairwell?
Measure the vertical distance from your ceiling to the landing below. The 5-head (V5, V6) drops 78.7 inches. The 7-head (V7, V8) drops 98.4 inches. The 9-head (V9, V10) drops 118 inches. Most two-story drops are 10 to 14 feet, so you'll likely need a 7-head or 9-head. Confirm clearance to any intermediate landings.
Will the travertine pits and holes affect the light?
The natural pitting in the travertine is part of the material—it's not a defect. Light comes out of the open bottom of the shade (the yellow-lit interior you see in the photos). Some light also filters through the pores in the stone. IMG8 shows these are all natural phenomena, so expect variation between each pendant.

What finishes are available?+
Two wood options: natural wood color or walnut wood, both paired with yellow travertine cylindrical shades. Travertine is a natural stone formed through geological processes, so each piece has unique texture and character.
How is the Arvo Cylinder installed?+
Hardwired ceiling mount with up to 59″ adjustable hanging cable, lengthened as needed. Compatible with common wall switches (not included). Installation guides and 3D files available for download.
What light sources work with this pendant?+
G9 base compatible with LED or Edison bulbs. Works with standard wall switches and can be paired with dimming controls as a made-to-order option in our workshop.
Is the Arvo Cylinder suitable for a kitchen island or dining table?+
Yes. The single head fits intimate spaces; 3–5 head versions span standard island lengths (36″–48″). Warm glow focuses light below, ideal for task and ambient lighting in kitchens and dining areas.
