What is the globe made of?

White opalescent polycarbonate, custom-formulated and blow-molded to create a translucent, diffusing sphere.

Can it be dimmed?

The standard model has an inline on/off switch. Triac dimming is available as a build-to-order option—contact support@vakkerlight.com to request it.

How long is the cord and where is the switch?

The cord is 59.1 inches long with an inline push-button on/off switch. Plug type is chosen at checkout: American, British, European, or Australian.

What spaces and furniture does this suit?

It works beside sofas, armchairs, beds, or in corners where overhead or pendant light is blocked. The arc reaches 156 cm horizontally.

Does it work in the US and ship free?

Yes. It operates on US household current (110–240V AC), is certified for North America, and ships free to all 50 states.

I really love the modern and sleek design of the light. It's also relatively straightforward to put together.

Nice design worthy of a featured location in a hallway or room.

Have had this floor lamp for about a year now. Still works great! Edison bulbs fit nicely in the seeded class globe. You might want a lower wattage bulb with the clear glass. The first glass globe came broken, but Vakkerlight replaced it quickly with no hassle.

Very different! The glass bulb is a little larger than I thought even though I read the measurements. It really is a pretty floor lamp. No problems putting it together forgot to get the Edison bulb so I didnt take a photo!
