The same marble-and-opal-glass language as our Marble Globe Sconce — a solid stone disc flush to the wall, a frosted glass globe half-proud of the face — in three bolder, more characterful stone finishes. Amethyst Marble brings violet and grey tones with fine veining; Flower Green Marble, a prized Chinese ornamental stone) delivers deep greens and dramatic white patterning; Cream Gold Marble offers a warm ivory ground with golden undertone veins. All three share the same opal globe, G9 fitting, and 15 cm diameter. A sconce that works as a light source and a wall object at the same time.
Hardwired wall install
This sconce hardwires directly to a wall junction box — it is not plug-in. A licensed electrician is recommended. Always turn off power at the breaker before installation.
G9 bulb — sold separately · please read before ordering
This sconce uses a G9 bi-pin base, which is less common in North American hardware stores than E26. G9 LED capsules are widely available online — Amazon, Home Depot's website, and lighting specialty retailers all carry them. Search "G9 LED warm white 3W" or "G9 LED 5W 2700K". We recommend ≤5W at 2700–3000K warm white. Email us if you need sourcing help.

Flower Green Marble
A prized Chinese ornamental stone: deep forest green ground with bold white and cream patterning. The most dramatic of the three — works as a standalone wall object in neutral or dark interiors.
Cream Gold Marble
Warm ivory-cream ground with golden undertone veining — the most versatile of the three, pairing naturally with warm wood, brass, and terracotta tones.

- Switch off power at the breaker before installation. A licensed electrician is recommended for hardwired wall connection to the junction box.
- Mount the marble backplate flush to the wall over the junction box using the included hardware.
- Insert a G9 LED capsule (sold separately, ≤5W recommended) into the G9 socket. For dimming, use a dimmable G9 LED and pair with a Triac-compatible wall dimmer switch.
- Attach the opal glass globe and restore power. The wall switch controls the sconce.
- Wipe the marble backplate with a dry or barely damp microfiber cloth only — avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), which can etch natural stone. Clean the opal glass globe with a soft dry cloth. Do not submerge either component.
What is G9, and can I find bulbs in the US?
G9 is a bi-pin bulb base — two small metal pins that push directly into the socket. It is standard in European wall sconces and widely used in compact decorative fittings. G9 LED capsules are readily available online: Amazon, Home Depot's website, and lighting specialty retailers all carry them. Search "G9 LED warm white 3W" or "G9 LED 5W 2700K". We recommend ≤5W at 2700–3000K warm white to suit the opal globe's diffusion.
Is the marble real stone?
Yes — the backplate is natural marble, which means each piece carries unique veining and slight tonal variation. No two sconces are identical. Because marble is a porous natural material, avoid acidic cleaners on the stone surface — wipe with a dry or barely damp microfiber cloth only. Confirm exact stone type (natural vs. sintered) with us if this matters for your project.
Which marble finish should I choose?
Amethyst Marble is a cool, jewel-toned choice — its violet and grey tones work especially well against white, soft grey, or dark walls where the color reads clearly. Flower Green Marble is the boldest: deep green with dramatic white patterning — treat it as a wall object as much as a light fitting. Cream Gold Marble is the warmest and most versatile — its ivory and gold undertones pair naturally with wood, brass, and terracotta. All three use the same opal globe and G9 fitting.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — fit a dimmable G9 LED capsule and pair with a Triac-compatible wall dimmer switch. Most G9 LED capsules sold as "dimmable" are Triac-compatible. Avoid using a non-dimmable G9 bulb on a dimmer circuit, which can cause flickering or buzzing.
How does this differ from the Marble Globe Wall Sconce?
Both use a natural marble backplate and opal glass globe with a G9 fitting, but they differ in size and colorways. The Marble Globe Sconce is W140×H190mm in Wood-grain, Indian Green, and Carrara White — a taller, more rectangular profile. This Marble Disc Sconce is Ø15cm with an 11cm depth — a rounder, more compact form — in Amethyst, Flower Green, and Cream Gold. Choose based on the stone colors you want and the proportions that suit your wall.
