The globe is cut on a diagonal into two halves and the lower half is offset, leaving an open seam between them. The G9 bulb sits inside, so light escapes through the gap and grazes the cut stone edges — a soft warm glow along the seam rather than a bright open shade. The porous travertine also lets a faint warmth show through the thinner areas.

No — those are natural to travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding are core characteristics of the stone, not flaws or shipping damage. Each globe is hand-cut, so no two are exactly alike, and the diagonal seam profile varies slightly between pieces — that variation is the point of a natural-stone fixture.

One G9 bulb, included. A 2700K warm-white G9 LED gives the warmest glow through the seam. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer (sold separately).

Hang the globe so its base sits 30–36″ above the table or island surface, which keeps the seam glow at a comfortable eye level. The drop cord shortens on-site; for stairwells or high ceilings it can be ordered longer. Email us your ceiling height if you'd like a custom drop.

Only away from water — it's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations, so keep it clear of shower or tub spray.
