Travertine Pedestal Tray — natural stone, footed bowl form, five colours.
A wide, shallow bowl carved from natural stone sits on a compact cylindrical pedestal — the footed form lifting the tray off any surface and giving it the presence of a considered object rather than a utility vessel. Its porous, textured surface carries the character of the specific stone it was cut from: veins, pores, tonal variation, fossil inclusions. Use it to display seasonal objects, fruits, candles, crystals, or jewellery — or leave it empty, as the stone itself is the statement. Available in five stone colours.
Natural stone — cracks, pores, colour variation are normal and expected
This tray is carved from natural stone — travertine or marble depending on the colour selected. Natural stone forms over millions of years and carries the marks of that process: fine cracks, pores, mineral inclusions, surface speckles, and colour variation are inherent characteristics of the material, not quality defects. Each piece is genuinely unique. Product photographs are reference examples only — the specific veining, pore distribution, and tonal character of your piece will differ.

Materials: Travertine or Marble (by colour)
Finish: Natural stone — unpolished surface texture
Fruit & seasonal objects
Lemons, figs, walnuts, or seasonal produce — the stone base adds warmth and grounds even simple objects as a considered arrangement.
Candles & votives
A cluster of pillar or votive candles at varying heights. The stone is heat-resistant and wax-drip resistant — practical as well as decorative.
Crystals, jewellery & objects of interest
Display personal objects — mineral specimens, rings, watches, or decorative stones — with the footed bowl elevating them above the surface.
Empty — as a standalone object
The tray itself is sculptural enough to stand alone on a console, dining table, or coffee table without needing to display anything.

There are small cracks or holes in my tray. Is this a defect?
No — this is the nature of natural stone. Travertine is formed with natural pores and voids throughout its structure, and marble can have fine mineral inclusions and surface variations. These are geological characteristics, not manufacturing defects. Each piece is cut from natural stone blocks, and the specific pattern of pores, fine fissures, speckles, and veins will differ between every piece. What you are seeing is the evidence that you have a genuine natural material object.
How do I clean a travertine or marble tray?
Wipe the tray with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products), abrasive pads, or bleach on natural stone — these can etch and permanently damage the surface. For travertine especially, avoid prolonged contact with water or acidic liquids, as the porous surface can absorb them. Dry promptly after any contact with moisture. If a liquid has been absorbed, blot (do not rub) and allow to dry naturally.
Can I use this tray for food?
The tray is suitable for displaying dry foods — fruits, nuts, bread rolls. For serving foods with liquids or acidic juices (cut citrus, tomatoes, dressings), line the tray with a cloth or board first, as acidic liquids can etch the stone surface over time. Travertine is more porous than marble and more susceptible to liquid absorption — particularly relevant for the Silver-Grey and Yellow Travertine options.
Will my tray look exactly like the product photos?
The form — the shallow bowl and cylindrical pedestal proportions — will match. The specific vein pattern, pore distribution, tonal variation, and surface character of the stone will differ, as every piece comes from a distinct part of the natural stone block. Photographs show representative examples only. This singularity is precisely what makes a natural stone object more interesting than a manufactured replica.
