Tana Woven Floor Lamp — hand-woven rattan cone, matte black arc tripod, plug-in.
A matte black steel arm curves from a three-legged tripod base, rising 190 cm and arcing over at the top to hold a wide hand-woven rattan shade. The shade is a shallow cone — ∅ 90 cm wide — woven from natural rattan in a tight honeycomb pattern that diffuses the light downward through the weave while allowing warm slivers to escape through each gap. The organic material of the shade against the graphic line of the black arc is a composition familiar to anyone who has studied mid-century Scandinavian or Japanese design: craft and geometry in measured contrast.
Hand-woven natural rattan — tone and weave pattern vary between pieces
The shade is woven by hand from natural rattan — a material whose tone, colour depth, and surface character differ between individual pieces and between production batches. The honey, amber, and warm golden variations visible in the rattan are characteristic of the natural material and are not defects. Each shade is unique.
Plug-in — no electrician, no installation
Runs on a 59″ cord with an inline on/off switch. Place anywhere, plug in, and move whenever you need. Fully freestanding and portable.

Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs. A warm-white LED at 2700–3000 K is recommended — the warm tone passes through the rattan weave and is scattered as a warm dappled pool below the shade, while a soft amber glow escapes laterally through the weave gaps. A standard A-shape or globe E26/E27 LED at 8–12W provides comfortable task and reading illumination from the 80 cm shade. An Edison filament globe adds warm visible character through the rattan weave if you position the lamp near eye level.

Does the rattan shade filter the light or block it?
The Tana’s rattan shade does both simultaneously — and this is its character. The tight weave directs the majority of light downward through the open cone base, creating a focused warm pool below the lamp. At the same time, small amounts of warm amber light escape laterally through the gaps in the weave, casting a soft dappled pattern on nearby walls. This combination of directed task light below and ambient warmth around the shade is why the Tana works well as a reading lamp, a living room accent, and a bedroom corner lamp.
Is it stable on carpet or uneven flooring?
The three-legged tripod base distributes the lamp’s weight across three points and provides good stability on flat surfaces. On thick pile carpet, the tripod legs may sink slightly into the fibres, which can affect stability on very high-pile or shaggy carpet. Place the lamp on a flat, firm surface for best stability. The 176 cm height and 80 cm shade also mean the lamp has a meaningful centre of gravity — position it away from high-traffic areas where it could be knocked.
How do I clean the rattan shade?
Dust the rattan shade with a soft dry brush or use low-pressure compressed air to dislodge dust from the weave gaps. Do not use wet cloths, water, or cleaning solutions on the rattan — moisture can cause natural rattan to warp, crack, or discolour over time. Avoid placing the lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods, as prolonged UV exposure will bleach the natural rattan tone.
