A compact opal white glass shade — rounded at the top, gently tapered and ribbed along its body — sits in a warm brushed brass collar that connects to a twisted chocolate-brown fabric cord and a brass ceiling canopy. The glass diffuses the E26/E27 bulb into a warm, even glow with no visible source — the opal surface glows like a lantern. At ∅ 15 cm, a single Funnel pendant is a refined bedside or kitchen accent. Clustered in threes at staggered drop heights above a long dining table or bar counter, the warm opal glow multiplies into a composed lighting arrangement that references mid-century restaurant design. Odd numbers (3 or 5) work best for visual balance.
E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) — bulb not included
Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs. A warm-white LED or Edison filament at 2700–3000 K is recommended — the opal glass completely conceals the bulb and diffuses the light into a uniform warm glow across the entire shade surface. A standard A-shape or globe E26/E27 LED at 4–8W is appropriate for the compact ∅ 15 cm shade. For a warmer, filament-visible effect, an Edison globe (G25) fits well and pairs naturally with the brass aesthetic.

⚠ The opal glass completely conceals the bulb — Edison filament bulbs produce the same warm glow as LED but are not visible through the shade. Both options give identical visual results from the outside.

Can I see the bulb through the opal glass?
No — the shade is solid opal glass, which is opaque white glass that fully conceals the bulb. When lit, the entire surface of the shade glows evenly as a warm, lantern-like form. There is no visible bulb shape, filament, or hot spot. This is one of the key qualities of opal glass over clear glass — the light is completely uniform and calm across the surface.
How many do I need for a dining table?
At ∅ 15 cm, a single pendant provides accent light for a small surface — bedside table, kitchen worktop, or small round café table. For a standard 4–6 seat dining table: three Funnel pendants in a row at even spacing (approximately 50 cm apart), with the lowest point at 70–80 cm above the table surface, creates the ideal composition. For a longer table or kitchen island, four or five in a row at the same drop height creates a refined hospitality-style installation.
Does the brass finish tarnish or change over time?
The Funnel uses a brushed brass finish which has a natural warm gold tone. Real brass will develop a subtle patina over time with exposure to air and humidity — slightly deeper and less uniform than when new. Many customers prefer the aged character that develops over years of use. If you prefer to maintain the original finish, wipe the brass parts occasionally with a dry microfibre cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or acidic solutions on brass.
