Ferrosia Ceramic Table Lamp — Kiln-Fired Terracotta Base, Beige Fabric Shade

A wide ceramic globe — ∅ 38 cm at its widest — rests on a narrow foot and rises to meet a slender brass-finished stem. The base is hand-thrown and fired using a traditional kiln-change technique: iron compounds and clay minerals separate and migrate during the high-temperature firing, depositing rust, sand, and ash in patterns that the kiln — not the maker — determines. Above it, a plain cone of beige woven fabric diffuses the E26 bulb's output into a broad, even warmth directed downward across the table surface. At 50 cm total height, the Ferrosia is scaled for a bedside table, console, or reading corner — present without demanding attention.


✦ Kiln-Fired Glaze — Each Piece Is Unique
The Ferrosia base is fired using a traditional kiln-change (窑变) technique. Heat causes iron oxides and clay minerals to shift unpredictably, producing a surface pattern of rust, sand, and ash that no two pieces share. Unless you request a specific glaze character when ordering, we ship bases at random from available stock. If you have a preference — lighter, darker, more mottled, or more uniform — contact our support team and we will help you select the right piece before shipment.

The Ferrosia ships with a 150 cm (59.1″) fabric cord, an inline on/off push-button switch, and a standard plug. Place it, plug it in, and it is ready. No hardwiring, no junction box, no installation appointment needed.

Bulb Recommendation — E26 / E27

A19 LED, 2700K warm white, 40–60W equivalent. The beige fabric shade reads best with a warm-toned source. A frosted or amber-glass A19 softens any visible filament and keeps the cone's diffusion even. For a more atmospheric look, a standard Edison ST19 at 40W equivalent adds visible filament warmth without overpowering the shade. Avoid daylight (5000K+) bulbs — they shift the shade's beige tone toward grey.

Will my lamp look exactly like the one in the photo?
No — and that is intentional. The base is fired using a traditional kiln-change technique in which heat causes iron oxides and clay minerals to migrate unpredictably across the surface. The result is a glaze pattern of rust, sand, and ash that the kiln determines, not the maker. Each piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind. The product photo represents the style and tone range; your specific base will have its own distribution of color and texture within that range.
Can I choose a specific glaze pattern?
Yes. If you have a preference — lighter overall, darker and more heavily mottled, or a more uniform rust tone — contact our support team before or just after placing your order. We photograph available stock on request and will help you select the base that fits your space. Standard orders are shipped from available inventory at random, so reaching out in advance is the best way to get the finish you have in mind.
What bulb works best, and does it need to be dimmable?
An A19 LED at 2700K warm white, 40–60W equivalent, is the standard recommendation. The beige fabric shade reads warmest with a 2700K source; anything cooler shifts the cone's tone toward grey. For a more atmospheric, filament-forward look, a standard Edison ST19 works well at 40W equivalent. The Ferrosia's inline switch is a simple on/off — it is not dimmable as shipped. If you want dimming, you can swap in a smart bulb with its own dimming app, or wire the lamp through an external in-line dimmer rated for E26/E27 LED loads.
How does installation work — does it need an electrician?
No electrician is needed. The Ferrosia ships plug-in: screw in an E26/E27 bulb, set the lamp where you want it, and plug the 150 cm cord into a standard wall outlet. The inline push-button switch sits on the cord at a comfortable reach. No hardwiring, no junction box, no ceiling mounting — it is ready in under two minutes.
How should I clean the ceramic base?
Wipe the ceramic base with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaning agents — they can alter the surface glaze over time. For the fabric shade, a soft-bristle brush or compressed air removes dust without risk of watermarking. Do not wet-clean the shade; fabric shades can warp or stain if saturated. Unplug the lamp before cleaning.

Yes. The Ferrosia holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia, and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide. No voltage converter is needed regardless of where you are located.
