The 9.8″ globe suits larger walls and ambient lighting; the slender 3.9″×11.8″ version fits narrow spaces and pairs well in multiples. Both hold 2 bulbs. Choose based on your wall width and desired visual impact.

What finishes are available?

Three finishes: Brass (develops rich patina over time), Matte Black, and Antique Bronze. Each is hand-polished and sealed with oil varnish. Brass patina deepens naturally—this is desirable, not a defect.

What bulbs do I need?

The 9.8″ globe uses E12 or E14 bulbs (×2); the slender 3.9″ uses G9 bulbs (×2). Both are compatible with LED or Edison-style bulbs. Bulbs sold separately.

Can I customize the size or finish?

The Leclerc is available in two set sizes and three finishes. For custom sizing or special finishes, Vakkerlight's atelier accepts made-to-order requests—contact us for bespoke options.

What is the Leclerc made from?

Solid brass, hand-polished and coated with oil varnish. The brass will naturally develop a richer patina over time—this is normal and desirable.

Can I use a dimmer?

Yes. The fixture works with dimmers when paired with dimmable LED or Edison bulbs.

Where does the light go?

Light spills from the curved top and bottom edges. It suits walls beside beds, above consoles, or flanking mirrors where you want ambient glow.

What does installation require?

Hardwired connection to a wall junction box. A licensed electrician is recommended. Connect to a standard wall switch (not included).

Does it work in the US?

Yes. It operates on standard US household power (110–240V) and carries North American certification. US orders ship free to all 50 states.

Weve received so many compliments on these sconces and our electrician said they were very easy to install. Would recommend.

We have an older home that started small and has had a few add-ons and updates. Most of them were well done, however the hallway that leads services 4 of the bedrooms only had one wall sconce at the entry from the parlor and that just didn't do the job. We wired another light box at the other end of the hall and used these in both places.

Put two of these sconces up yesterday. I was very pleased with the quality of the lights and ease of installation. Will probably order more for another area in the house.
