The Thessa Alabaster Cone Wall Sconce hangs a natural alabaster cone from a gooseneck arm that curves out from a round backplate. A swivel joint above the shade lets it hang straight, and the open bottom sends light down while the stone glows with its veining in a soft 3000K tone. It comes in black, brushed nickel, or aged brass, and measures W 6.7″ x H 10.6″ / W 17cm x H 27cm with a 9.8″ / 25cm wall projection.

Alabaster is a natural, porous stone. Veining, tone and small marks vary from piece to piece and are not defects.

Setup & Care

Turn off power at the breaker before installing. A licensed electrician is recommended.
Mount the backplate so the arm curves up and over, then let the shade settle straight on the swivel joint.
Dust the shade with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning sprays on the stone.
Let the bulb cool before handling the shade or changing the bulb.

FAQs

What bulb does the Thessa wall sconce use?

One bulb with an E26 or E27 base. The bulb shows at the open bottom, so a decorative warm white 3000K bulb looks best.

How far does the sconce stick out from the wall?

It projects 9.8″ / 25cm from the wall. The full size is W 6.7″ x H 10.6″ / W 17cm x H 27cm.

Is there a matching pendant light?

Yes. The Thessa Alabaster Cone Pendant Light uses the same cone shade and finishes on a ceiling downrod.

Does it plug in, or does it need to be hardwired?

It is hardwired. The backplate mounts over a standard junction box and it is controlled by a wall switch; there is no plug or cord. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

Which finishes are available, and will my alabaster look like the photos?

Black, brushed nickel, and aged brass. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining and tone differ on every shade. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from water, as the stone is porous.

Alabaster is a soft, fine-grained mineral. Cut thin and polished, it turns light into an even, candle-warm glow — no glare, no hard edges.

Every shade starts as a raw block and passes through skilled hands, shaped and finished one piece at a time.
