I bought this lamp to place on a console table by my front door. I wanted something on the small size and the narrow shade works well for the small space. At first I thought it was too gaudy looking but once assembled it looks like it cost twice the price. The shade material is above average and looks like silk. The cord is quite long. It feels sturdy and the on/off switch is solid and easy to turn. The only defect is on the harp where the shade sits. It is slightly crooked. Fortunately I was able to bend the harp enough to level the shade and still have it sit squarely over the base. Be sure to check the measurements. The lamp is on the small side and the shade is narrow on the sides so be sure it will work for the space youre buying it for.
This lamp may be little but it packs a big punch of glam. Love it!

Wish it had a three way switch. Otherwise a very pretty lamp
