Sylvia Wood Floor Lamp

Three turned-wood forms — a tapered cone base, a flared bowl, and a swelling vase shape — stack to form the body of the Sylvia, each piece hand-shaped from solid wood and finished to show its natural grain. A simple grey cylindrical fabric shade sits at the top, diffusing warm light from the bulb inside. At ∅ 18.1″ × H 51.9″, the Sylvia suits Scandinavian, Japandi, and wabi-sabi interiors — alongside reading chairs, in entryways, or as a sculpted accent in living rooms.

Solid wood — natural variation expected

Each lamp body is turned from solid wood. Grain pattern, color depth, and any small natural cracks (a normal characteristic of solid wood) vary from piece to piece. Your lamp will resemble — but not match — the reference photos. This is the nature of working with real wood, not a defect.

Plug-in — no electrician required

Plugs into any standard wall outlet with a 59.1″ (150 cm) cord. An inline push-button switch on the cord turns it on and off. No hardwiring, no junction box, no electrician.

Why does my lamp look slightly different from the photographs?

Each Sylvia is turned from a unique block of solid wood. The grain pattern, knots, color tones, and any small natural cracks are different from piece to piece — this is a normal property of solid wood, not a flaw. Your lamp will share the same overall silhouette as the photographs but won't match the grain pattern exactly.

What style does this work with?

Scandinavian, Japandi, wabi-sabi, organic modern, and natural-luxe interiors. The Sylvia works in pared-back living rooms with linen sofas, beside reading chairs, in entryways with stone or wood floors, and in bedrooms with neutral-toned bedding. The natural wood reads warm against white walls and pairs especially well with travertine, raw plaster, and other natural materials.

What bulb works best?

A standard screw-in LED bulb (E26 in North America, E27 in Europe — both fit the same socket on this lamp), 8–12W, 2700K warm white. Frosted or filament-style bulbs both work well behind the linen shade. LED is preferred over halogen for cooler running temperatures inside the closed shade. Bulb not included.

Does it need electrical installation?

No — the Sylvia plugs directly into any standard wall outlet using its 59.1″ cord. An inline push-button switch on the cord turns it on and off. There's no hardwiring, no junction box, and no electrician required.

Is the Sylvia certified for North America?

Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.

Finishing & Wiring
