Tall pendant — measure ceiling height before ordering
The fabric body is 59 inches (150 cm) long. Designed for ceilings 10 feet (3 m) or taller — lofts, stairwells, double-height foyers, and large dining rooms. On a standard 8–9 ft ceiling, the shade will hang too low for most spaces. Need a shorter shade or longer cord? Email us before ordering to discuss customization.
Plug-in cord routing — plan before mounting
The cord runs from the ceiling hook down to a standard outlet. On a tall pendant in an open space, this means cord visibility — plan to mount the ceiling hook close to a wall and use a discreet cord cover along the wall and outlet path. Need a hardwired version instead? Email us before ordering.
Use an LED or Edison-style filament bulb — fabric shade is heat-sensitive
The fabric body encloses the bulb and traps heat upward. Use only an LED or Edison-style filament bulb up to 40W — incandescent and halogen bulbs run hot enough to discolor and embrittle the fabric over time. Do not exceed the wattage on the socket label.
- Hang from the ceiling using the included hook — drywall anchor or stud is needed. The ceiling can be flat or sloped (up to 30°). No electrician required; once mounted, plug the cord into a standard outlet.
- Plan the cord route before mounting. Choose a hook position close to a wall and route the cord along ceiling-to-wall corners or use a discreet cord cover for a clean look.
- For a dining table or kitchen island, hang so the bottom of the shade sits 30–36″ above the surface. Adjust by sliding the cord through the canopy.
- Use one E26/E27 bulb, max 40W. LED or Edison-style filament bulb only — never incandescent or halogen on a fabric shade. Bulb not included.
- Controlled by the in-line switch on the cord. Not designed for external dimmer compatibility on the wall circuit. For dimming, use a smart LED bulb with its own dimming feature.
- Indoor and dry locations only (IP20). Not for outdoor exposure, bathrooms with shower spray, or kitchens directly above a cooktop where steam and grease build up — fabric absorbs both.
- Dust the fabric with a soft brush or vacuum gently with an upholstery attachment. Spot-clean only — never machine-wash, never submerge. The metal frame can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth.
What ceiling height do I need?
10 feet (3 m) or taller. The 59-inch fabric body is built for lofts, stairwells, double-height foyers, and large dining rooms. On a standard 8–9 ft ceiling, the shade will hang into walking sightlines. For shorter ceilings, email us about a shorter shade.
Is this plug-in or hardwired?
Plug-in. The 59-inch cord ends in a standard wall plug and has an in-line on/off switch. Hang the pendant from the included ceiling hook and run the cord to an outlet; no electrician or wall-switch wiring needed. If you need a hardwired version instead, email us before ordering.
Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?
Yes — up to a 30° slope. The ceiling hook accommodates angled ceilings, and the cord hangs straight down by gravity regardless of the mounting angle. Confirm slope before drilling the hook anchor.
Can I use an Edison-style filament bulb?
Yes — a clear Edison-style filament bulb (LED filament version recommended) shows nicely through the open bottom of the shade for a warm vintage-look glow. A frosted LED gives a softer, evener pool of light. Both work; pick whichever look fits the room.
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on wiring, plug, switch, socket, and the metal frame. Hand-finished fabric variation (slight differences in folds, color tone, weave) is not a defect; fabric discoloration or embrittlement from using an over-spec or incandescent bulb, water stains, and impact damage are not covered. Email support with photos within 7 days of delivery for any transit damage.
