How tall is the longest one and does it need a vaulted ceiling?

V7 is 102 inches tall (8.5 feet). You need at least that much drop space plus room for the mounting hardware. A stairwell or double-height foyer works well. Standard 9-foot flat ceilings cannot fit it.

What's the difference between the Gold and Chrome versions?

Gold has a warmer, softer glow. Chrome is shinier and more reflective. Both finishes cost the same. Pick based on your room's existing metal hardware and lighting mood.

How many strings or strands does this have?

The fixture is made of hundreds of thin string strands hanging from tiered metal rings. Exact strand count varies by size. All sizes create the same spiral visual effect.

Do I need an electrician to hang this?

Yes. This is a hardwired pendant that requires a ceiling outlet, proper wiring, and safe mounting. Do not attempt DIY installation. Hire a licensed electrician.
