Charge it first — then enjoy up to 3 days of light per charge
The lamp ships with the internal battery partially charged, but a full Type-C charge before first use is recommended. Plug into any standard USB-C cable (a 5V/2A adapter is typical — the lamp does not require USB-PD fast-charging); full charge takes approximately 8 hours, best done overnight. On a full charge, expect about 24 hours of light at the brightest setting or 72 hours at the lowest — a typical use pattern (4–5 hours per evening on medium) runs a week or more between charges.
Three-level dimming, no buttons or switches
A capacitive touch sensor on the lamp body recognizes a light tap. Tap once to power on at the brightest setting; tap again to step down to medium, again to low, and again to power off. The touch is sensitive to bare skin — gloves or very wet hands may not register. For accidental touches by curious pets, place the lamp where casual brushing-against doesn't reach the body.
Integrated 5W warm-white LED
A 5W warm-white LED at 3000K is built into the head, hidden behind the small mushroom shade so it grazes downward across the carved trunk. The LED is sealed inside and is not user-replaceable — if the module fails, return for service under warranty. No separate bulb to buy or worry about.
Solid wood, hand-carved, three finishes
Each lamp is carved by hand from a single piece of solid wood, then finished in one of three tones — a warm Dark Wood, a pale Light Wood, or an ebonized Matte Black. The Light and Dark finishes preserve visible wood grain; the Matte Black is fully opaque over the grain. Because each piece is hand-carved, the exact silhouette, depth of curves, and grain pattern shift subtly between units — small variation is part of how the material is made. - Charge the lamp before first use — a full Type-C charge takes approximately 8 hours. The lamp ships partially charged so you can test it on arrival, but a full charge maximises battery life from the start.
- Use a standard USB-C cable plugged into any 5V/2A USB power adapter, a computer USB port, or a USB power bank. The lamp does not require USB-PD fast-charging.
- Place on a flat, stable surface. The carved wood base sits well on smooth surfaces; for textured surfaces (linen tablecloths, rough wood), a small felt or cork pad keeps the lamp from rocking.
- Tap the lamp body to operate: one tap turns on at full brightness; subsequent taps step down to medium, low, then off. The touch sensor recognises bare skin — gloves or very wet hands may not register reliably.
- Indoor dry locations only — wood and a Li-Po battery do not belong in bathrooms, kitchens with steam exposure, covered porches, or outdoor settings. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Dust the carved wood with a soft, dry cloth, following the grain. Never use water or solvents on the wood — finished wood absorbs moisture, which can warp the body, dull the finish, or seep into the battery compartment. The perforated disc base can be cleaned with a soft dry brush.
- If you store the lamp unused for a long time, top up the charge every 2–3 months to keep the Li-Po battery healthy. Storing at 0% for months can permanently reduce battery capacity.
How long does the battery last? How long to charge?
On a full charge: about 24 hours of light at the brightest setting, or 72 hours at the lowest. A typical evening of medium brightness (4–5 hours per night) runs a week or more between charges. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours via USB-C at 5V/2A — best done overnight. The lamp does not require USB-PD fast-charging; any standard USB-C cable and a 5V/2A adapter (or a USB port, or a power bank) will work.
How does the touch dimmer work?
Tap the wood body once to power on at full brightness. Tap again to step down to medium, again to low, and a fourth tap turns it off. The sensor is capacitive — bare skin works best; thick gloves or very wet hands may not register. If a tap doesn't respond, try a slightly firmer tap with a dry finger.
Will the carved wood look exactly like the photos?
Each lamp is carved by hand from a single piece of solid wood, so the exact silhouette, depth of curves, grain pattern, and small marks of the carving tools shift subtly between pieces. Every unit sits in the same design family, but no two are identical. The photos are representative. The Light and Dark finishes show visible grain; the Matte Black finish is opaque over the grain.
What about the perforated base — is it for incense or aroma?
The perforated wood disc at the base is a decorative pattern as part of the carving — it isn't sold as an incense burner or essential-oil diffuser, and there's no separate cavity inside designed for those uses. Some buyers do set unlit incense sticks or a small wax sachet in the holes as a personal touch, but we don't recommend burning incense in or near the lamp because heat and smoke can damage the wood finish and the electronics inside.
Is the battery or the LED replaceable? What's the warranty?
The 6000 mAh Li-Po battery is internal and sealed — it isn't user-replaceable. Lithium batteries typically lose capacity gradually over 300–500 charge cycles, after which run-time will be shorter. The integrated 5W LED is also sealed and not user-replaceable. The lamp carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the battery, LED module, touch sensor, charging port, and carved wood body. Email support with your order number if anything fails in normal use. Natural wood variation (grain, tone, carving marks) is part of the material and not covered as a defect.
