Washi Paper E Pendant Light
A tall sculptural pendant with stacked washi paper segments and a central sphere. The geometric form filters warm light through thin horizontal ridges. Works in living rooms, foyers, or double-height spaces where you need a vertical focal point.
What you actually get
Translucent Japanese washi paper wraps the entire shade. Light glows through the horizontal ribs, casting soft shadows.
Drops range from 51.2 inches to 181.1 inches. Widest diameter is 16.9 inches on most variants.
One cord, one bulb. Hangs from any standard ceiling canopy.

Common questions
What bulb does the Washi Paper E take?
The fixture accepts one standard bulb. Check your local electrical code for the wattage limit your ceiling box allows. Most residential ceilings support up to 60W incandescent equivalent.
Is the washi paper durable, or will it tear or yellow?
Washi is a dense, long-fiber Japanese paper. The horizontal ridges you see reinforce the material. Over years, exposure to ambient heat and light will gradually age the paper, which is normal for organic materials.
How much horizontal space does this take up?
The widest variant (V2 through V7) has a 16.9-inch diameter. V1 is narrower at 12.9 inches. Plan for at least 18 inches of clear space in all directions below the fixture.
Can I install the tallest version (V7) in my home?
V7 is 181.1 inches (15.1 feet) from ceiling to bottom. You need a ceiling height of at least 16+ feet and an unobstructed vertical path. Measure before ordering. Installation requires a sturdy ceiling box rated for pendant weight.

What ceiling height do I need for the tallest Washi Paper E Pendant?+
The H181.1″ size requires significant vertical clearance, ideal for double-height entries or 14+ ft ceilings. With a 59″ adjustable cable, you can lower it to fit your space. Contact us for custom height solutions.
Which size works best over a dining table?+
The ∅16.9″ × H55.1″ or H51.2″ sizes suit standard dining areas, casting warm light over 4–6 place settings. For larger tables or dramatic effect, choose H86.6″ or consult our atelier for custom sizing.
What bulbs should I use, and how many does each size need?+
Use E26/E27 warm Edison bulbs (2700K recommended). Most sizes need 3 bulbs; the H106.3″ uses 5. Ultra-tall sizes (H86.6″, H131.9″, H181.1″) require custom consultation. Bulbs not included.
Are glue traces on the shade edge a defect?+
No. Minor glue traces at the shade edge are normal from the hand-bonding process and do not affect light performance or appearance when lit. Each piece is handcrafted with care.
Can I customize the size or add a different finish?+
Yes. The Washi Paper E is made to order in our atelier. Ultra-tall sizes (H86.6″+) and custom proportions are available—contact us to discuss your exact room dimensions and vision.
