The Floating Globe Pendant Light is a minimalist pendant — a clear hand-blown glass globe suspended below a pierced brass lantern by thin cables, creating the illusion that the globe floats freely in mid-air. The LED bulb sits inside the brass lantern above and shines down through the crystal sphere. The Floating Globe Pendant Light features a hand-blown clear glass globe. Tiny bubbles, slight thickness variation, and minute optical refraction differences appear in each piece — these are natural characteristics of hand-blown glass, not defects. Light passing through these subtle imperfections is part of what creates the distinctive scattered glow. The globe you receive will have its own character that does not perfectly match the product photo.

The Floating Globe Pendant Light is rated for indoor dry locations — dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, restaurants, hotel rooms. Do not install in bathrooms above a tub or shower, kitchens directly above a sink, or any outdoor area.
Hanging height for dining and kitchen island
Hang the bottom of the crystal globe 30-36 inches above your dining table or kitchen island surface. The 59-inch cable can be shortened during install or extended on request — email info@vakkerlight.com if your ceiling exceeds 12 feet.
Multiple units for long surfaces
For long dining tables, kitchen islands, or bar counters, hang 2-3 Floating Globe Pendant Lights spaced 24-30 inches apart center-to-center. Each unit is independently suspended from its own ceiling junction box.

What bulb does the Floating Globe Pendant Light use, and is it dimmable?
Standard E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) base bulb, maximum 40W. Warm White 2700-3000K LED (~6-8W for 40W-equivalent output) recommended. A clear globe-shaped (G25) bulb works best for refraction through the crystal globe below. Bulbs sold separately. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible wall dimmer (TRIAC or trailing-edge).

How is the Floating Globe Pendant Light installed and adjusted?
Hardwired ceiling pendant. A licensed electrician connects the canopy to your ceiling junction box. The thin cables suspending the glass globe come pre-adjusted from the factory — for cosmetic reasons, do not loosen them once installed. Cable drop length can be shortened during installation by the electrician (cut and re-clamp). For extended drops above 12-foot ceilings, request extended cables before ordering.
